When you were born

Was there any interesting hit song on the radio or some famous concert around the time you were born?
----
I was born in 1989. Madonna had her hit "Like a Prayer". It was the number one hit in Sweden and my mother listened to it lots, while she was pregnant with me. Strangely, I rather like this song, even though Madonna seems like a sellout and an idiot.

The year I was born was the Year Tubeway Army produced "Replicas" on Beggar's banquet. Including the song "Down in the park" thus began the greatness that is Gary Numan.
