I hate to bitch...
My parents are in the middle of a divorce (third times a charm, I guess). I have not spoken or seen my father in many months (for numerous reasons..he's an alcoholic, he has beaten my sister and I before. We actually took him to court over one physical incident with my sister...he only got a $300 fine).
Alright, so my mother has bipolar. She had an episode tonight. Who does she call to come over and help?
Yup, my dad.
So now I am locked in my room while he is here, which sucks all kinds of ass because I need a shower, and I'm sure they will get back together after this for the hundreth time.
Btw, as much as I seriously dislike my dad, I am petrified of him. I'm actually shaking right now.
Anyone have any good, hard drugs?

I can empathize with your situation, Badteccy.
My father is, the majority of time, decent. That changes drastically though once he's hit the beer. After that, he becomes this monster and terrorizes my family and I, threatening to beat the shit out of us; and even in one case had threatened he'd strangle me. He'll emotionally abuse my mother by pounding her down with names until she feels like a complete idiot, when in fact she isn't. He's even brought her tears once or twice before; and my mother is a passive person, so she won't fight back. I have to, and I end up getting my ass kicked in the end for it. I had even been drive to a point before when I had to threaten my father with a knife, just so he'd stay away from me and keep his hands off of me.
However, the next day he became really depressed about it. He isn't as bad anymore, so long as no one provokes him in any way, and he'll usually isolate himself so nothing happens.
I love my father, but I hate him at the same time. I just wish he'd try to improve himself a bit.
But I know that fear you're feeling, trust me. I know it all too well.
I hope things improve for you.
