The media on this side of the pond is questioning the validity of the latest new report from Iraq.
For those who may have missed it, the US military is reporting...
'Demonic Al-Queda militants sent handicapped women to blow up children while they were buying puppies'
Thats a direct quote. Now, first of all, the idea alone SCREAMS of propoganda. I mean, how much worse could and atrocity be? Sending in handicapped women to kill children while they buy puppies. Thats pretty much the pentacle of bad things, eh?
Only problem is, the facts on the ground and the news reports contradict this statement, which of course was disseminated by the US military minutes after the attack.

You have the first issue, which is have you ever seen the aftermath of a suicide bomber? First, there is not much left other than their feet. Second, if there is more than one victim in a crowded place, they can tell the body parts apart from each other. The usually bury some in a mass grave that they can't figure our where they go.
You can Google previous attacks and see this is the norm. That being said, someone in this case, within minutes, they knew everything about the attackers, even the fact they 'had downs syndrome'. And the fact the bombs 'were detonated remotely'
Then there is the other glaring conflicting facts - the women had full black robes, that covered their faces. How exactly did the military see these womens faces prior to the explosion if they were covered? How can you tell someone has downs syndrome when they are covered from head to toe in robes and have a wrap around their face?
Then of couse, the fact they claim they blew up 'children buying puppies'. Yes, it's true from the other accounts animals were for sale, but this was a farmers market, much like many of the others which have been hit. Dogs are considered unclean in the Arabic culture, so I doubt they would be selling them alongside their food staples in the same market.
Finally we have the notion that these bombs were detonated remotely. How exactly does one deduct this from just looking at the aftermath? No investigation, no evidence, nothing other than a statement which they put out making this claim. Again, most markets now, as well as major road ways, in Iraq have systems to block low-end frequencies to stop remote bomb attacks. The humvees are equipped with blockers as well to keep rebels from remotely detonating IED's. They have put these devices everywhere that bobm attacks have occured. They were happily saying this a few weeks ago, claiming they have been able to stop all remote attacks because of this technology they have in place everywhere. Now they don't even mention it.
Then again, most Americans won't ever question any of this and will take the story at first-glace face value. Of course, the media once it is found out most of these facts are bogus won't report it as such, they will just move on to the next story, like they did when the falsified facts that led up to the war were found to be bogus. The military will later try and claim they just got bad intel from their people in the area, but the one true fact still stands - the US is again trying to shift public opinion in America by leaking false new stories to the American people.
