Hello there I'm Steve
I guess I should just start off with the questison.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I actually play pool, and play WoW.
2. Where are you from?
I'm from Michigan I think that is all I really need to give out right now.
3. Who is your favorite author?
R.L. Stine, I've loved Goosebumps since I was a kid and I still read them today.
4. What are your favorite films?
Favorite films would be anything from Monty Python. They can always give me a good laugh.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
That isnt something I've ever thought about.
6. At your funeral?
I never notice music played at a funeral. >_< so I don't know.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
My sound stupid or even immature but I think it would random and a good way to die and that is to be stabbed while having sex.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I don't know the different types of caskets something I never really thought about looking into.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Vashj from Trigun.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
No pressure!
11. What's your favorite band?
If I really want to go classic I pick the Beatles, but the band I listen to the most would be Avenged Sevenfold
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I'm a graduate of Highschool, I'm going to college at the moment to work on my major in computer networking administration.
13. Why did you join?
I really joined to get tips or even give tips to other people on different things. I do plan though on of course chating on oher parts of the boards.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?'
I'm a male.
Also I don't think I would ever call myself a true "goth" and that is because I don't know all that is there is to know. I would like to learn though and I think this site can help out a lot. I've been a fan of the fansion and all that has to offer for long time now, and I'm just trying to get into it but being without money its hard for me to buy what I would like to buy. My favorite type of fansion is the cyber goth and that is something I would love to get into. Oh also my name is Steve I like being called Dyce just for some reason I love the name.

Cyber fashion's going to burn a hole through your pockets, I swear.
I won't get into any explanations about what is and what isn't considered goth, it'd be a waste of time as so many people have so many different takes on it, so it just ends up becoming one big, utterly stupid argument/debate. I'll just let the others address that whole situation instead.
And you don't have to be rich to "goth out" your wardrobe. Try thrift shops and DIY. I've found wonderful treasures in second hand stores, and I modified them to my tastes--and I paid all but a measly fifteen or so dollars for an entire outfit, and some little adornments like lace and bows. The only thing that may cost a bit are a pair of decent boots.
Anyway, welcome.

Man I loved the no pressure Kid life. Welcome to the Board. There is alot of threads on what is or is not Gothic...
I think Gothic is expression and it is up to the individual to chose how that is created... Music, Books, attitude, style but it does not have to be everything...
Anyways, welcome to the board.
Can I ask you WoW questions?

I was a hardcore Stine fan as a child.
No one can know 'everything' about 'goth' - learning about something new is always a journey that never ends.

But seriously, you will learn a lot here, and I think you'll enjoy the community. Welcome!

Green.Lady, you're not sending him to the music boards? This is a change in behavior!

Perfect, as long as it's being done to Free Love or Dream On by Depeche Mode, okay? I have a portion of a movie script with this exact act. It'll be hot.
Welcome. :]

Well howdy Hi Dyce! Michigan is so representing here at gnet!
I'm curious as to which school you're attending for network admin; sounds like a college with several branches in lower MI.... I used to work for them, if its the college I'm thinking of (main campus in Flint...)

Hi Steve!
Goth is primarily being a fan of Goth Rock, which followed the Punk explosion in the late 70's and early 80's. Check my signature for some staple artists.
Aside from that, there is associated fashion, literature, and drink. But as with Punk, there's mostly just a "be yourself" attitude.

Welcome to the board, Dyce. I too really enjoy the cyber goth fashion, but it's extremely expensive, and I don'thave the money for it right now. I'm from Wisconsin, so it's always great to have another buddy in the Midwest. Did you move to Michigan for college, or have you always lived there? Anyways, good look on your search for goth knowledge, and once again, welcome.

I always lived in Michigan. I really want to move out of this state just because I'm getting sick of the cold and trying to find a job is tough.

I feel your pain on the cold. I've only lived in WI for 6 years, and I'm leaving in about 2 years, so I'm happy to be leaving the cold.

Haha, for sure. According to your profile, you're only 18, so I guess you've never been to Luna in Royal Oak. Have you ever been to City Club?

You *have* to go to City Club. It is a must; a rite of passage for any Michigan goth (besides, its a hella good time!!)
I got my AAS in Networks from Baker a few moons ago; got my BS at MSU... Baker's a damned good school for tech--good choice!
