Depends on what part of Chicago you're in. I know that those to the North/ern of Chicago live in luxury and security even from invaders due to several decommissioned and active military installations such as the Great Lakes Naval Base and some army bases that have been mostly decommissioned into high class suburbs. In downtown Chicago there is a large active nightlife with many clubs for all music varieties as well as several major and minor landmarks such as the Sears Tower, Navy Pier (a former Navy pier that is now a bustling attracting with a a ferris wheel lots of shops on the inside, an imax theater, the chicago childrens museum, and a grand Opera House in the back as well as some lakeside attractions), the Chicago museum of Science and industry (which is the only thing left from the Chicago Worlds Fair home of the first Ferris wheel), and the Shed Aquarium to name a few. While south/ern Chicago I have only really seen while passing through either by car or air it is not a pretty sight.

Well despite that you like probably the worst band ever with that horribly annoying whinny singer, I'll forgive you for liking iron maiden ^_^ hello.

Finally, someone who knows all of the key goth bands and recognizes that goth is a lifestyle, not a 'musical genre' or some shit.
Maybe you can help me set straight all of these confused folks who keep talking about the 80's and Bowhouse or whatever.
