Bad Day.
There's nothing externally wrong, but I'm having a hard time feeling 'okay' today.
Last night, I couldn't sleep; I started crying for no real reason.
This morning, same thing; just angry and upset, and just wanting to sit on my bed, bawl my eyes out, and give up on the day.
I don't know what's wrong with me. Whenever I feel like this, it's super-hard for me to do anything or care about anything; I don't like feeling like this.

Whaaa? You DON'T like feeling that way? I LOVE waking up to find that I cried myself to sleep and I'm just all around upset. It's great.
On a serious note, does this happen often? If so, I suggest you get some help. It's obviously not healthy. :[

It comes and goes. The crying thing is new. Or rather, not very frequent.
I'm usually not in the best mood when I wake up anyways, but this was worse than normal.
Meh, if only good counseling wasn't hella expensive. >_<

The best thing I could say would be to find something that calms you down and do it. Music works for me everytime.

Sorry to hear it. Depression isn't easily brushed off. I used to think it was, until I had a nasty bout of it myself. I'd say try talking to someone before doing anything rash like jumping right into medication.

Oh, I will; I was on meds a few years back, and it did odd things to my personality. I'd rather not have that happen again.

Oh you dear sweet heart! *huggles*
I hope you're feeling better by now but if not, you do know that it is all in your mind and you can control it. Also, talking to someone or seeking help wouldn't be such a bad idea. Talking does help. It might help you pinpoint why you are feeling this way. It has worked for me before. I have rambled on and on till I found what was bugging me. Might work for you too. *offers a friendly, non-judgmental ear*

Ahh. I'm not fundamentally against meds, I just think that trying to cope without them through talk therapy is a good first step. I'm glad you're willing to try talking first.

Thank you for your kind offer.
I think it was a mix of things; my sister is getting married this weekend...again...and I think I'm a little jealous. Plus, life stuff tends to swirl around in my head: not enough money, no car, not knowing what to do for the future...that sort of thing.

Most of my friends have married by now. I'm still single. Do not have a car although admittedly, having a car is too much hassle in London. NEVER have enough money and I haven't a faintest idea what the future holds for me.
I'm not worried. I'm living today, will worry about tomorrow when (if?) it gets here.

Tam Li Hua,
Just caught this. Hope you're doing better. Some good solid advice here from some good folks. (BTW thanks for the reality check. I was feeing depressed because the 18th was my B-day, and I dread getting older).

Yes, I'm feeling better now.
18 ain't no big; in fact, it means you can do a lot more!

You are a star, burning brightly upon us mere mortals with kindness and compassion.
Where others are taking pot shots at newbies for whatever they might be saying, you plough through arguments, with kindness and reason.
I am just a reciprocal creature by nature.
Sweetness begets sweetness.

Indeed, it does.
I can understand being irritated at folks, but I simply don't think that calling them rude names really helps the situation at all; in fact, I see it as sort of 'lowering' oneself to the level of the person they are insulting.
Plus, it's a bully tactic, and, as irritating as some people can be, I never could abide a bully. *remembers high school all too well, and shudders*

I once went through this random stage of depression when I was 16(it lasted 4 months). It was completely unexpected but I became cold on the outside, and on the in. After I realised that I was surrounded with people who loved me, and that they were worried about me, I got better. Slowly, but surely.

I still have these days now and again, but am well past my teen years.
I daresay it may be a hormone imbalance, but I'm not completely sure.

Personally I think that :
1 ) Far too many people are needlessly unhappy.
2 ) People shouldn't be worried about being unhappy. It's life.

Crying for no reason may point towards a seratonin problem, I would have your doctor put you on a 1 month trial of anti depressants and see if that helps.

I'll be 19 soon. I don't consider myself a teenager. And you're probably right. I bet it was a hormone imbalance.

Dear Tam Li Hua,
Thanks for the vote of confidence. Glad you're feeling better. Actually the 18th was my B-day. Not 18 by a long-shot, but thanks for reminding me. That was a very good year.
