Hair consultation for a freaky teenager!

Hey guys, I've been checking this forum out for sometime now... pretty awesome if you ask me.

I'm Aya, a 15 year old chick from Israel who loves the gothic culture.

Soo.. I really want to have a gothic look to me, but since I'm a failure with hair... (seriously, I SUCK!) I came for some advice. I'll let you on a few details.

My hair has never been dyed/colored before(once tried henna but that doesn't really count now does it..) and its natrual color is between brown and red. sometimes it is light brown, sometimes it is very chestnut, always depends on how I take care of it. It's curly, like frizzy curly, and currently a little below my shoulders.

I'm also very pale(naturally) and when I say that I mean FUCKING pale. Marylin Manson's powder is nothing compared to my natrual pale skin. Ha ha, just kidding...

My nose is pretty wide, and sure isn't a pretty sight...

If you could makeover me, what would it look like?

(I dunno if this is neccesary, but I am average height... well maybe below average height, I'm toned, my bra size is B cup (slowly drifting towards C) and my phone number is. .. . .. lol.)

O_0 take yer time!

Deathhawk = http://www.cheap-velvet.com/kresta/m...eathhawk-2.jpg minus the stupidly long sideburns.

dye your hair a nice crimson red, not to extreme but but gives it a dark (yet far less ordinary than black) feel

Something a little less crazy eh? Fair enough. You could go for the classic Siouxsie Look . Dyed black with red highlights is pretty classy as well. It depends on the kind of look you want to achieve. Are you looking for a Romantic thing? Deathrock? Old School? Cyber?

If you want to go low-level extreme, try streaking it random colors. Like, a few streaks blue, some green, pink etc. That way you'll see what colors look good on you and have funky-awesome hair in the meantime!

Ugh. I always thought that kind of thing looked trashy. I would go with one color, or maybe two that comlement one another.

Basically, just play around with it. Have fun. Do crazy shit until you find something you like. Personally, I have bright green hair. Experimentation can lead to interesting discoveries about what you really like.

Did you do the pink side yet Breathless?

@Xombie: Sometimes it can look trashy, agreed. But sometimes its done pretty well.

Yeah, I agree with Xombie. I'm cut out for one color or maybe two...

I'm trying to achieve a romantic look, indeed.

Then you most definitely want something not too out there. Coloured high-lights or all black, or all black high-lights work well with the romantic look.

@Grunger: I like the idea of the romantic look.My friend once dyed her hair deep purple on the underside, so if she fixed it right it wouldn't show for job interviews and stuff, but if she fixed it a different way it was totally awesome! You could try something like that.

I've always wanted to try highlighting my hair blue, or the underside blue like my friend. Scarlet, if i decided to ever do that, would you help me with it? And Breathless too, because you sound like you have some experience dyeing hair!

It would be an honour and a pleasure to help out. There's even a place downtown Ottawa where you can actually get decent unnatural dye, not the manic panic crap.
