Oh Noes

Run away, away from the monsters, they come,
hunting me an animal I really am in my dreams.
OW OW! They've brought with them the screaming wolves
to bring further worries to my mind, FLEE, I MUST, FLEE!

To the withered tree I run, there I may just have a chance,
the demon monkeys away, feasting upon skellington Jack's skull.
At last, I've escaped those who gave chase, and now can rest,
to hell with all of this, I'd rather suffer a Kenny G concert,
then to have this happen again.

OH FUN FUN FUN!!! The tree has been set ablaze, what am I going to do?!
I'm stuck, with no where to go, no one to help me, well, I've had a good run,
and atleast I will no longer have to put up with the screeching sound of WHEE
GOOD BYE, AND GOOD RIDDIANCE, FOR I AM FREE AS A WINGED TACO!

I say stick with this sort of stuff. There's too many serious poems, not enough Dr. Seuss.

I guess, I fail at anything serious... the best I could do is write poems that kindergarten teachers would read their students before nap time...

What the fuck is wrong with that? I like those types of poems. I hate all the pretentious shit that gets written in this section. This one shines out as a wee little beacon of "Fuck You" light in a mountain of castrated horse cocks!

There's more than enough Dr Seuss, Dr Seuss was pretty meh, his work didn't have much to think about, it was more "UNEXPECTED COMEDIC TWIST X20 WITH NO STORY!".

Look at some of the greatest satirist writers of all time.

If you're a good writer of satire, you're awesome.

I actually think this is a vast improvement on your love poem. You still need a lot of work if you want to get really good, but at least you're figuring that unless you totally rule like only about 3 poets ever have, humor is a better approach than earnest cliche.

Keep writing, dude.
