Hi, thanks mate
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Mainly studying (something very boring) and jobbing around.
Unfortunately nothing exciting...you're right, London's a lonely
town
2. Where are you from?
Native dutch, smalltwon crap village near Rotterdam
3. Who is your favorite author?
Quite a few: Marquez is ace...or better was ace.
Irving is certainly excellent. Daniel Johnson ("Angel")
is another goodie and must have if you ask me
4. What are your favorite films?
quite obvious: Life of Brian
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I Surrender by The Adverts...haha
6. At your funeral?
Bury Me Deep by The Sisters
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
fast or even better laughing
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I don't think I care when I need one - it just shouldn't be pink - I HATE pink
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
black...obviously.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
having almost no responsibilty was cool. The lovely
"I don't care" attitude.
11. What's your favorite band?
Changes daily between The Sisters, Fields, Clan Of Xymox and
The Chameleons
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
high school grade...I still wish to finish my boring study and find a descent
job...I care about the fun in the job than the money...even though I should
care about that
13. Why did you join?
find new people mainly. Better to chat than play silly games I'd say
Cheers mate

Welcome.
Life of Brian? Well, to each his own. I really don't get most of the comedy in the Python movies, but... oh well.
Again, welcome.

Thanks to xou all
Hi all,
thanks for welcoming me...
I am glad to see some people share my interest...haha...happens rarely enough.
OK, Monty Python are kinda trash these days, but still some of the best around.
I mean, it takes the current "commedians" days to put a grin on my face while
MP makes me laugh in an instant over jokes I know by heart.
What I like the most is that this movie is so much a piss take of the church...
without mentioning the war...in a way...
Anyway...did anyone happen to The Sisters live yet? I heard rumours they were
ace...and the contrary.
Might be off for a while...family business is calling me back...

transilvanian, welcome to Gnet! Any fan of the Pythons is a friend of mine. There's a thread dedicated to Python quotes in one of the forums ... oh, the one that has movies and television in it!
Anyway, I too think Life Of Brian is great. I have Holy Grail and Meaning of Life, but Brian is the DVD I come back to over and over again. Of course, that's because I was Catholic once, but I got over it.
I would encourage you to space some paragraphs out so as to make your writing more readable. It's not a requirement, but my experience here shows that the easier your text is to read, the more likely people are to want to interact with you ... and that's the whole point of this gig, right?
Once again, welcome! I think you'll fit in just fine. I look forward to your contributions.

Unfortunately it's REAL family business...but I have to say as much as I admire The Sisters I would consider Andrew Eldritch as the strange uncle...kinda like him but prefer to see him leaving instead of coming...haha

wow...you got cured from catholizism :-) ...no insult ment...hahahaha.
Jesus was a jew anyway and I am sure he'd hate the pope and christianity. Fine by me, at least I can agree with Jesus. I was baptized before I even knew how to burp...I wish my parents would have given me the option to chose on my own. I don't wanna say religion sucks but religion caused more killing than anything else. Actually I think I wanna say that religion sucks.
I'll try to work on my spacing but won't promise anything. I am just a human being ...or something close to that.

If you don't believe in it, baptism is little more than a trickle of stagnant water over your forehead that you'll never remember. And I'll add to your statement by saying that organised religion sucks. Organised as in turned into an institution. Simple faith never did any harm to anyone. Sorry if I sound offensive, it isn't meant to sound that way at all, just the battle against ALL religion some people have irks me a little. What have the Buddhists ever done?!
Anyway I'll stop there with my $0.02 . Don't want to turn your intro thread into a religion debate!
