Vitamins

I am most likely going to sound very stupid asking this but here it goes. Since vitamin D can be made in your body by exposing it to the sun, does that mean I will get darker if I take a vitamin D supplement? Also, I have the same question with Iron. I heard that it will make you darker.

I know pretty much nothing about vitamins so forgive my ignorance.

I know nothing about darkening, but I doubt it because that's your bodies way of getting less sun, or some such thing. I don't know about, iron but I doubt that too.

If you are in high school you could always ask a science teacher.

Oh and you're asking good questions to make yourself less ignorant so who cares?

You said something about your bangs coming out and I'd suggest taking glucosamine because it strengthens your nails, which is the same material as your hair, so it might help. Also lay off on straightners and blow drying, it frys your hair after a while.

I hope I helped.

Thank you
But I am still afraid of accidently getting tanned by taking too many vitmamins. Doesn't iron make your blood a bit darker?

I hope this helps. And no I don't think of you as a kid or anything. The site just explains things in simple terms so you don't have any of that doctor long ass word crap.

the thing that makes you dark is the UV rays damaging your skin
the vitamin alone wont make you dark

Exactly, the skin creates its pigment (melanin) to protect itself from UV radiation, vitamen D... lets you absord calcium, and the lighter you are the easier it is to get from like... 5 minutes of sun exposure

As for iron supplements, I've had to take those myself and they did not affect my pale skin. No worries - it's not like you'll get orange if you eat an orange, either
