Mystery Science Theater 3000
I didn't see any threads about MST3K so here we are. I love it so much. I'm a big fan of old horror/sci-fi movies, but I'm a bigger fan of hilarious commentary added into them by a silhouetted Mike Nelson and his two robot buddies, Crow and Tom Servo. Anyone else here a fan?

I thought I was one of a handful of folks who watched that stuff when it was around!

MST ROCKS! But difficult to get :s
I want to get some of the box sets on DVD but they only do them in Region 1 format. I know that these should technically play on a region free DVD player, but i've had problems in the past.
SO unfair.
Ah well.
And now (for those of you who've experienced "The Creeping Terror") I'm going to have the phrase "look at my torso, look at my torso" going round in my head all day!

I'm so disapointed that they took it off the air. I used to watch it on Sci-fi on what was it... Saturday mornings? I have only one box set, but I plan on getting more. I can't live without MST3K!!!
Hobgoblins is a gem in the MST3K collection. "Sentense fragments! Just words!"

Ohh man, that was an awesome show! I remember back when it was still on Comedy Central...ahh, those were the days. If you look around on YouTube, there's some episodes you can watch there.

Look around at places that sell TV DVDs like Best Buy or Circuit City. If not they sell every box set on amazon.com.

I miss that show. It was the only thing I watched on the Sci-Fi channel, and it was great. I'm glad to see it's still getting love.

YES! Same. I love to do that. In the band I used to be in, we were going to include and extra DVD on our demo of all of us doing commentary on "Blood Feast".

Ah it was awsome
The only quote I can remember is about a guy falling at a 45 degree angle because of the size of his mustache. *sigh* good times.

Yep, the commentary of the chessy 50s and 60s films are like hobbies to me-got it directly from there. "Queen of Blood" and "Plan 9 from Outer Space" are good ones

I remember it being Saturdays-I liked the Viking film they did. "Sir are we Saxons or Vikings...what are we, huh?"

Yes, I'm a fan! A friend of mine recently turned me on to these movies, and they're f*cking hilarious. Funny, I just watched MST3K: The Movie. I'm at work right now (Movie Store), so I get to watch whatever I want on my shift. We have a great selection of MST3k. Shiny!
Living in Austin, I get the great benefit of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. They host Master Pancake Theatre (formally the Mister Sinus Show) every Friday night which is modeled after MST3k. This month's featured film is Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Good times.

Oh, I'm a huge MST3K fan. I just netflixed The Girl In Gold Boots the other day. Brilliant. Another one I rented recently was Eegah!, which featured the guy who played Lurch on the Addams Family dressed in a cheesy caveman costume. Genius.
