Another new person.
Hello, I'm Mathew.
1. What do you do?
Pretty much nothing. I'm passively job searching and I just listen to music, talk to my boyfriend, and lurk around websites all day.
2. Where are you from?
I'm from the UK, but I live in a shitty suburb in midwest US.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Poppy Z Brite.
4. What are your favorite films?
Children of Men, Baraka, Alice in Wonderland, Gypsy 83 (shuttup), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Velvet Goldmine, Trainspotting, 28 Days Later, Stay, Shaun of the Dead, The City of Lost Children, The Devil's Backbone.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
My boyfriend would probably be in control of that.
6. At your funeral?
I don't want a funeral.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I don't really have a preference. I'll probably die arthritic and boring from heartbreak after my boyfriend dies of lung cancer.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
I read about getting cremated and having the ashes put into a firework. That sounds more appealing.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Uh.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
My only responsibility was to not bother my dad.
11. What's your favorite band?
Placebo. They're not even gawth musics. I lose ten points.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I graduated high school, and right now I'm dragging my feet to cosmetology school.
13. Why did you join?
Cos I'm bored.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Male.

Welcome, darling. I adore your name, simply because pressed flowers are one of my favorite things. Hm...on the firework note, wouldn't that make everyone breathe in your ashes after they have settled?

What wonderfully shitty Midwestern burb would you be inhabiting?
I picture you completely expressionless and droning on in monotone. Makes you all the more interesting to me.
Welcome to you.

I think being cremated and having your ashes put into fireworks is funny. I want my own ashes to be put into cake and for my children to feast until the icing comes out of their ears.

At first I thought, "Ew, icky."
But then again who would I be to turn down cake? Bring on the icing!

Ankeny, Iowa. And I'm really quite expression-ful, I think, irl. I've been told more than once that I sound mean/unfriendly online :/ I'm not sure what I should do to avoid that ... maybe put emoticon smilies after everything.

I never said your were mean/unfriendly, just picutred you in my head as speaking the whole intro thing expressionless and in monotone. My brain tends to humor me. You just came along at the right time to give it something to visualize.
GAK. That sounded like a load of.....
Anywho, welcome to the wonderful world of shitty burbs in Iowa. I live in the shitty burb of Waukee, IA. We are about 30 mins SW of you. Actually I like Waukee.
Where are you planning on going to cosmetology school? You coming down this way to Johnston or Urbandale, or up to Ames?

Johnston. I might switch to Ames the second year though, if my sister and I decide to get an apartment together.

Welcome, Mathew. Hope you enjoy your stay here at G-net. And during your wedding, you should decide the music, not your boyfriend, or at least, both should agree on something.
