I really wish I could hug you for real, because you sound like you desperately need it right now. I hope my thoughts will do for some comfort.
Tell her you love her.

I have, and will continue doing so.
I have my cat to hug, and he's fluffy and warm.
So there's at least that.

Besides...animals don't tell if you cry on them a bit. My animals are good friends like that too.

I am sorry to read that, Tismine. I don't like to offer words that may read like Pollyanna false hope, but I wish you that hope and also warmth, comfort, peace and the knowledge that there are many who are holding you and your aunt in their thoughts. many hugs. I know it is not easy.

I'll keep you and your aunt in my prayers, Tismine. Having lost my great-uncle and great-grandmother to brain cancer and breast cancer respectively, I sympathize. My only advice is to re-iterate what the kind people here have been saying: keep on communicating your love to your aunt. *Cyber hugs!*

I'm really sorry for your aunt, Tismine. I lost my mom about a year ago to breast cancer. I know what you feel. It especially hurts when you're at the doctor's office telling you that the cancer has spread in your loved one's body. You just feel numb. Anyways, death is a bliss in such situations. My heart goes out to you, your family and everyone who has someone suffering from cancer or who already died from it.
Broken_Harlequin, Stop making such jokes in this thread. It's not nice. I'm not saying you're a mean person but maybe a numb creature. Joking around helps people relax sometimes, but what you're doing is just being a mere ass. I don't advise you to joke around like that for you'll never know when the joke will be on you. To tell you honestly, if you were saying such stupid things in person, you won't just be a broken harlequin but a stack of combustioned wood.

I'm really sorry to hear about your aunt, Tismine. I can understand how you feel. My mom went through a mastectomy and 8 months of chemotherapy as well. My prayers are with her. *ehug*

Im sorry to hear this new tismine but there is always hope.
My girlfriend had a cancerous brain tumor when she was maybe 11 years old. She had surgery and chemo and she’s health now. Just big scar on the back of her head is all that’s left. I hope your auntie gets better. And Your love im sure will help her in a difficult time like this.
XOXOX

Mrs. Humane is having surgery in two weeks to remove part of her colon. Fortunately it doesn't appear to have spread anywhere else (does not appear to have metastasized yet). I hope and pray they get it all. Eat your broccoli all of you, ya hear?

My grandfather had a cancerous skin lesion that went undetected for years (he thought it was an age spot) until it got into his lymph system and spread to his lungs, liver and brain. This was in 1985, so there wasn't much his doctors could do for him. Strangely, even though he worked outdoors for most of his life, my mom still blames his death on his smoking.
Then, about a year ago, my mom was diagnosed with a similar melanoma (on her face, for fuck's sake) and had to have some skin on her cheekbone and the side of her nose removed. Luckily she had a really good surgeon, so the scarring is minimal.
I feel, I mean really, really feel for everyone who has had to deal/ is dealing with cancer. Best of luck to you.
