Good day and otherwise
Hello people and otherwise. My handle is all I care to really share as a name at the moment; talking to people online via real name, or vice-versa, is something like disjarring to me.
I don't remember when I first came across this community, but I know it was a while ago, and the fiction bored the life out of me. I suppose now that I'm bored already, I'll give the forums a go. I'm sarcastic, honest, paranoid, and mildly obsessive about random things; mostly about things that involve the reasons we are all here. Not always.
I'm also a DJ, which means I show up to the club early and still get to be one of the "cool kids." If I'm cool, you're screwed. Too late.
You'll probably either love me or hate me. Feel free to do either, or try out both. I really don't care. People call me "eccentric." I call people "creatively boring."
You have questions? I have answers. You're in luck; the first 14 are free.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
IT Manager. It came with the head-stapler. Yeah, I got the whole kit, back before it was THE kit. You know what I mean.
2. Where are you from?
Depends on when you ask. New England, overall. Currently outside of Providence, RI.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Milton Friedman, C.J. Jung; all sort of dry crap that I'm supposed to hate. Next:
4. What are your favorite films?
Monty-anything; B-anything.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I doubt this will apply to me anytime soon enough that it's ever been a concern.
6. At your funeral?
Something fun. Don't people cry enough without needing funerals to go to? Come on people, have a good time!
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I don't care, but there are a few ways I don't want to. Drowning would be one. As long as it's quick, I doubt I'll be spending those last seconds wishing for an alternate version.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
An urn. Caskets take up too much room, really.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Christ. Does a favorite style count? How about a poet shirt, stretch jeans, and a my L-jacket? Nice boots are a plus. And jewelry.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Happiness was easy then. Too bad it didn't get you that much, though. I find enough wonder nowadays to compensate, so I don't miss it much.
11. What's your favorite band?
Christ. Again. Can't say. There are some staples that always hit the list; currently I'm obsessed over Red Wedding, I'm So Hollow, and Glorious Din.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I have an Associate's and most of a Bachelor's. That will be changing soon.
13. Why did you join?
I was bored. Sorry, I have no false expectations on joining. I wanted a place to find more conversations, and many promote some events. I can guarantee you'll get the latter at least.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Gender, like any label, is a self-imposed prison, and not one I'm particularly attached to. Not that I'm planning on changing anything; I'm perfectly happy with the equipment I've got.

Thanks, it's in need of an update, unfortunately. The jacket's had its pins re-arranged, and more metal added - I really won't rest until I walk down the street and am ambushed by an entire army of crows.

Oh dear, is that you in the avatar? If so, looking sharp. Quite classic if I say so.

Thanks; it's probably equally classic and being too cheap to buy new stuff. I swear the poor jacket is more being held together by metal and fabric paint, than being decorated by it, at this point.

Thanks! I'm hoping to try out doing larger stencil work on the back of the jacket some time. Unfortunately, I've got too many sewing/clothing projects for my own good, so who knows when it'll actually happen.

Eh, don't worry about it. I will change it, and then change back, and again, and so on.

I love to dance, so I'm sure it will be fun, if nothing else.

I doodle on the dishes all the time. Those bat plates weren't there until I got ahold of them.

Welcome to Gnet, DJ Delicti. You seem extremely interesting! Excellent taste, too, in both music and movies.
I'll admit I went over to your website to comb the setlists and there was very little I didn't love. We have a great deathrock night here called 1334 if you'd ever want to be a guest DJ at an Aussie club .

Thank you, on both accounts!
1334? That's Poison Dwarf and Ghoul Girl's night! That night is excellent; I think I still have Kiss Kiss Bang Bang paraphernalia floating around here somewhere.
Poison Dwarf is very well informed and a great person, and Ghoul Girl - if I were single, I'd swim to Australia for the opportunity to hit on her; she's really that wonderful! Thankfully I have someone I'd do the same for, without all that swimming. Otherwise, I'd risk uselessness in either case, once I arrived! ;-)
Oh, and thank you for reminding me about that website! There's so many setlists I need to put up... it just takes so long, and I have so little attention for it. *sigh*
I've enjoyed chatting so far - I really hope you can make it to one of the DDF's eventually. :-)
