a Steppenwolf
After reading some posts *and answers* I've taken the decission of stay a while and make myself a member .
I don't like much "burocracy" and I couldn't resist the temptation to change some questions ...
1. What do you do and why
I'm a writer since I can remember . And I cannot change it ...
Hobbies are computers , languages , music and travel
2. Where are you from?
I was born in Europe , but I may move soon to US or Canada
3. Who is your favorite author?
Some names : Herman Hesse *obviously* . Sade . Nabokov . Dostoievski . Vladimir Holan . Kafka . RA Wilson . And more and more .............
4. What are your favorite films?
I admire most Cronenberg's . Arronofsky's Pi . Old horror . Tim Burton's Corpse Bride , Beetlejuice .
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
Show-Weddings terrify me . I couldn't even cry if I was forced to join in ...
6. At your funeral?
NIN - Right where it belongs
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
car crash or poison .
8. What kind of casket would you want?
Dust in the wind .... All that we are ...
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
sunglasses . my eyes are very sun-sensitive .
10. What's one thing you miss about being a teenager?
a LOT of time to kill on parks or libraries . to be able just to enjoy everything because of the novelty , surprise , mistery of life
11. What's your favorite band?
I started with 70's heavy and rock . Discovered 80's sinth-pop and new romantics later . Respect and love Electronic pioneers . Still in love with Smiths and Morrisey . But my signature says the most important ...
12. What kind of education do you have?
leaved catholic high school
13. Why did you join?
read *and maybe* post some literature , discuss ideas , find some brothers and sisters , start new projects *who knows ...*
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
The doctor said I was a female , but I prefer to say I'm just a human being
And NO ; I do NOT think that we are SO DIFFERENT ...
LIkes : Open minded people , curiosity , sense of humor , science and technology , the moon , stars , winter , snow *the NORMAL one* , coffee , long letters , madness in general , and the romanticism . Books that disturb , disgust , changes you ...
DISLikes : TV . Most of politics , economy and things like that ... Fashion . I can't understand most of religions *but I tolerate them and got even believer friends* . Hate . "fighting for peace" . Charity shows . Shows in general . Women's typical clisches . Man's typical clisches . "Hard books" , or "wannabe writers" that aren't able to see the difference between important and impressionant .
happy to be here and hope can finally stay in a place . Hello and love to everyone .

Welcome! I like Kafka as well. He was a fine observer of human nature.

Corpse Bride and Bettlejuice are both wonderful. It's like you can't go wrong with Tim Burton.

Is good, but have you read The Trial? It's great.
De Sade is awesome. Gave me a fuck of a hard-on.

I still have to check Scanners , but my two favourites are perhaps "Crash" and "Spider" . Fly is still a great movie , yes , I like the rithm and how well constructed is the whole story . I never get tired of a re-view .
Saw Dead Ringers? Those images are just to be loved , specially all those new medical some-things Beverly built . Wonder if one could buy some of them on the net ???

Good goth I LOOOVE Cronenberg's work. See if you can find 'Rabid'; it's a brillant body horror film by him. And They came from Within is well-done as well.

It's great. I would recommend Crime and Punishment as background reading, alot of people think Kafka based The Trial on it. Even if you don't agree it's an amazing read.
