Ah, congrats!! My advice: love along with patience and everything will turn out just fine.
I remember the night my daughter was born and that is still the best thing ever happened in my life.

Congrats! My son is 16 months old, and while its been trying and hard I wouldn't change it for the world.
I'm so glad to hear that you're going to try even though you're not ready. I was far from ready with my son, but you'll see that some things just come naturally. Good luck with everything!

I never had a real daddy. I hope that won't be the case with your soon-to-be son.

That's awesome! Don't worry, I'm sure paternal instinct will kick in and you'll be a great dad!
What are the name ideas?

My gf sometimes calls me Daddy when we have sex.
I don't get it, her dad is SO not hot. He's balding and something of a fascist.
Congrats dude.

I just want to tell you mabrouk= congrats in Lebanese (arabic)
I just feel so happy for you man. I can't wait till I have kids of my own. Follow your instinct. Most people are never ready for kids but everything turns out good eventually. I bet you'd make great parents you and your girlfriend.

Congratulations to you and the Mrs.! Not many are ever ready I think for their first one, but if the love is there it takes care of itself.
IMPORTANT ADVICE: please HELP your wife with the diaper changings and midnight feedings, she will love you more for helping her get some much needed sleep during the first 3 to 4 months. After that, your baby should start sleeping almost all night and your sleep cycle will return to more or less normal.
When you start seeing the first smiles baby gives you when she/he sees and recognizes daddy it will all be worth it!

Agreed. Being a new mom is one of the most trying experiences your girl will ever have. Help her out wherever you can and she'll love you for it.
I remember being so stupid tired when my son was a newborn that I saw a commercial for psoriasis medication on tv and it said "Consult your dermatologist" on the bottom of the screen, but I thought it said "Consult your demonologist." I spent the next few minutes wondering if it was a common thing for people to keep demonologists on retainer and I just didn't know about it. Shortly after that my husband switched to the night shift at work so that he would be up all night on his nights off. He handled all the nighttime feedings and diaper changes two nights a week and took care of the baby in morning for a couple of hours when he came home from work so I could get some sleep. He's a saint.
Anyway, congratulations. It might be scary sometimes, but it will be so totally worth it the first time your kid says "Daddy!" when you walk into the room.

thanks guys, and yes i have every intention of helping with the night shifts, as does every one else(her parents, we live in there basement im sad to say).
as for names we cant decide, and its partly my fault for that. every time we sit down to come up with names we get in minor arguments about it because i always say first middle and last names while she insists on just figuring out first and middle and dont care what they sound like together.
although if we have a girl we are nameing it after my older sister who passed away, it was kinda her last wish thing so kinda have to.

Instead of talking about names, why don't both of you write down names you like on a piece of paper, have her do the same thing, swap pages and go through thems and see if they are any names that you both wrote.
