My singing voice is so weak and limited that I can only sound like myself, unfortunately.

I'd love to have more range and be able to make my voice break in that cool way that Ian McCulloch's does.

I love Sharon den Adel's voice and Amy Lee's voice. I think I have a decent voice, but I wish I was as good as them.

I sing better quietly than I do loudly. I like the voice of the singer in The Gathering, and I also would love a set of lungs like Lisa Gerrad.

Yeah this is somewhat related to the topic, ive been practicing on my vocals, added a few more to my repertoire, almost all Dani Filths though, except one that Kind of sounds like the guy from the agony scene =)

itd be nice to do power metal vocals like dragon force or blind guardian though

I've been told I sound like the female version of Mike Van Portfleet/vocalist in Bella Morte. I like that ^_^!

When I was in a BM band loads of people said I sounded like Dani Filth because I could high scream. No......I don't sound like BLOODY DANI FILTH!

He has a magic button on his mic that he presses down on really high screams, you can see the little blinky red light come on when he does it. XD!

It is, I can take my voice to very high pitches, but i either can't hold it, or its quiet, others I know have the same problem.

Personally, I think it's silly to scream at pitches only dogs can hear. No offence to you Wormboy, i'm just not a fan of Dani Filth.

I think there alot of things you can do with the voice, especially when it comes to screaming, that are far more interesting. Even just by changing the shape of your mouth as you scream can alter the sound in some interesting ways.

That's just how I feel about vocals. That they should be experimented with further than pitch.

I'm gunna stop now before I start rambling.

I entirely agree with you, THD, the thing I like about DF is the way he makes different voices entirely, at different pitches by mixing distortions and emphasis and such. But yes I agree, variety is key. He is an amazing vocalist in my opinion in terms of technical ability, but the good old fashion clean singing is something that needs more support in metal.

If you want to hear a truly amazing vocalist....look up Diamanda Galas.

Me and my boyfriend call her the antichrist, she has the most demonic voice I have ever heard. The woman is a vocal genius.

I'd like to sound like a cross between Loreena Mckennitt and Emilie Autumn (with just a hint of That-Nice-Lady-From-The-Dresden-Dolls-Whose-Name-I-Suddenly-Can't-Remember).

I think my voice sounds like Peter Murphy sometimes although I would like it to sound like Trent Reznor or Dave Gahan.

Anyone who can stretch a single verse of "Swing Low Sweet Chariot" into nearly three minutes of breathy cacophonous shrieks is undoubtedly one of humanity's greatest benefactors.

I have my own voice, but my influences go from Rogue, Peter Murphy, and Ville Valo.

....STFU, Ville is a good vocalist in all technicality.

My voice is somewhere between Peter Murphy and Brian Molko, with a bit of Carl Mccoy and Dave Vanian at times.
