Do we look like synthpoppers to you?

In either case, here's a bunch:

Ultravox, The Human League, Fad Gadget, Soft Cell, Eurythmics, A-ha, Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure, Tears for Fears, A Flock of Seagulls, Pet Shop Boys, Devo, Berlin, OMD, New Order, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Propaganda, Thomas Dolby, Alphaville, Thompson Twins, Bronski Beat, Psyche, Yello, The Buggles, Howard Jones, Associates, Simple Minds, Animotion, Rational Youth...

Enjoy.

(oh, I just realized you typed "Future"... ah, google those and you'd probably get references to future synthpop.)

Hmm well if it's futurepop you're after .. I could name off the top of my head:

VNV Nation
Frozen Plasma
Angels & Agony
Covenant
Mind.In.A.Box

If I think of any more good FP bands I'll post them here ^-^

I *like* Freezepop.
Anyway, also try Ashbury Heights and the Modern.

I love synthpop. Probably to an unhealthy degree.

I'll add older Apoptygma Berzerk and Neuroticfish for futurepop recommendations.

I know a girl who used to be roommates with several members of Freezepop. Apparently they weren't the nicest people.

I'm not much into synthpop. But I'm hearing that synth and EBM are becoming really trendy in Los Angeles & Hollywood areas. And that "Steam Punk" is superior to Goth and that we all shall move on and follow any club as the evolution of "Beyond Goth". Which I think is bullshit to me.

Nah, I can see EBM filtering into the "mainstream" (within reason) and elitist goths claiming Steampunk as the "new thing".

I just like everything really. Steampunk's amazing. But so is synthpop and EBM. I couldn't really care less about who listens to what.

Steampunk is already becoming "the new thing" in a lot of circles. Personally I love it. I can see variations on EBM becoming popular but like you electrosexual said, to each Goth, their own music.
