Fresh blood.
Hi. On to the little bio, which says about all I would have and more:
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
Not currently working. As for hobbies, I'm obsessed with old radio shows from the 30s and 40s, and I spend a lot of time finding and listening to them. I used to write a lot and hope to get back into that soon. Just waiting for my muse to come back. I've tried luring her to no avail, I've tried forcing her. Just made her pissy.
2. Where are you from?
San Diego, born and raised, and luckily in the metro area, away from the recent firestorms.
3. Who is your favorite author?
Poe, easily. Also a fan of Anne Perry (only certain books though, some of her stuff bores me- but the books I love, I *love*), Wilkie Collins, Charles Dickens.
4. What are your favorite films?
The Seventh Seal, Watership Down (though it doesn't do the book justice), Universal Monster movies, classic horror such as The Uninvited, Isle of the Dead, and darker classic comedy like Arsenic and Old Lace.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I'll take the basic entry music from Disney's Haunted Mansion.
6. At your funeral?
Ha, I like the idea of Quoth the Raven by Ella Mae Morse and Kirby Grant Orchestra from 1944's The Ghost Catchers. Catchy, swingy and spooky at the same time. Be still my dark little heart. Which it would be. My will might state that everyone sing along.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
Happy. Which is so not goth, okay fine. I hope I die FULL OF WOE. As for method... I will probably take myself out due to ennui and frustration. (Yes. Ennui!) Maybe I will get creative with it. Make something with pullies and steel balls that roll through pipes and hit triggers and WHAM! Dead dead deadski.
8. What kind of casket would you want?
Not a casket. Wrap me in muslin or cremate me. I don't want to be embalmed or anything of the sort, it's all such nonsense to me. I'll be gone, my remains really don't need to look nice in years to come.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I don't have one. I'm very unhappy with my closet at present. My favorite shoes are Victorian button boots. And I always love my stripey stockings. But nothing else is pleasing me right now.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
The freedom of no real responsibilities.
11. What's your favorite band?
The Damned.
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I don't have a formal education past high school, and don't plan on one at this point. I have nothing against it, my life just went in other directions.
13. Why did you join?
I've stopped going to clubs and sceney events for some time, and thought it would be nice to get a little goth fix online.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
I'm all girl.

I LOVE the happy Scream avatar! I'm also a Dickens reader. "Great Expectations" is my favourite book of his.
You seem awesome. Welcome!

Sounds like another joy-joy addition to the boards. I love a lot of those old radio shows. Have you heard any from Abbott and Costello yet?
Welcome aboard by the way!

I never have the same favorite album... usually it's The Black Album, sometimes Machine Gun Etiquette, Strawberries, Phantasmagoria... and back to The Black Album. And of course the Naz Nomad album is great, along with the first Phantom Chords ep, which I have on vinyl... and have found that later PC stuff isn't quite as good.

Yay for heart filling joy.
I've lived in Hillcrest most of the time for the past ten years. It suits me, not in the GLBT way... well okay partially, but mostly, I like being around open minds, artsyfartsy types, etc., and I find there are more in this area.
I grew up in the East County... gahd the Summertime heat there is enough to kill. In Santee it was anyway. I hope you have a better time in the East County than I had when I lived there... but that was a looooong time ago and I would hope it's evolved a little.

I love A&C shows- but have only 86 files at present. A&C are one of my favorites, along with Baby Snooks, Great Gildersleeve, My Favorite Husband, Lights Out, Suspense, and anything Halloween related, which I have quite a few of. Also, anything related to WW2 news broadcasts, especially shows which were on the air when the attacks hit Pearl Harbor or aired that night.
Altogether I have over 2600 OTR files, which is nothing compared to some collectors but I like to listen to everything I can before downloading too much more.
I'm in the middle of downloading all episodes/seasons of Suspense right now. Just listened to my childhood favorite, Sorry, Wrong Number starring Agnes Moorehead.

Hello I'm all girl!
Welcome to Gnet. Honestly I didn't bother to read each and every word of your intro because I just woke up and have yet to tame my focus for the day. But I did see that you're from San Diego so that makes you cool enough in my book. (I'm not from SD, just overly proud of living in the best damned state in the US.)
Welcome!
