I scored a 106, but for a 9th grader, that's pretty good i guees. Even though I gueesed a few, this test isn't that well at show truely how smart you are. Cause my grades reflect that I should've gotten higher than a 106, but whatever.

Agreed! And NachtSorcier, you are probably left-brained, which this lame test does not evaluate, so don't call yourself a retard. The test is biased towards right-brained people (visually artistic/spatially oriented).

I'm usually in the 120-130 range.
It fluctuates depending on the test, of course.

My IQ is about 178. I am also whole-brained, though more so right-brained.

Well, I'm right-brained, and I'm very artistic, and I didn't do as well as I thought I would. This test all together wasn't that fair.

And one of these days you have to tell the rest of us which IQ-scale you use, so we can compare what that is to what we use.

If you want an accurate IQ test you need to go to a proffesional, I think. There are actually people studying how to evaluate your intelligence. All the internet IQ tests boasting of how it was developed by some scientist are a bunch of BS.

Last time I took a right/left brain test, I got 16/20 right-brain.
I got 118 on this test.

That depends. The Mensa organization has quite a nice test on their site to make you evaluate whether you should do the real shebang-all-bells-an-whistles IQ test or not.
And they don't boast.

Um, anyone more familiar with the test than I am is welcome to correct me, but I'm pretty sure that if you scored this on the current preeminent adult intelligence test (WAIS) then you're one of the most intelligent people ever to exist.

Got 112, now that I'm using a browser it's compatible with and could try it.
On the higher side of average, but only by the tiniest sliver.
I've tried various versions of tests before- some as compulsory things in school, some in the back of magazines whilst bored, and had results ranging from just about 100 to around 155, so there seems to be a hell of a lot of variation.

I think your right. I believe Einstein's IQ was about 180, and Stephen Hawking's is in around there too.

Your avatar cracked me up. Demented happy kitty! I might do the test on the morrow. 40 minutes?! Sleepy time. Does that get extra points?

112.
The test is probably bull though. Last time I checked, IQ tests are more than logic, and a lot more than patterns.

I take them with a grain of salt, but then I take all of reductionism with a grain of salt. May bother to do the thing at some point. Hm. Salty.

Yeah.
If intelligence is so flexible, how can you measure it with a test?

And also - should it matter if you have a high IQ or not? There are members of Mensa with IQ's of 160+ that are 30+ years old already and still live in their parents' basements and play computer games all day long.
When I was still in school they did IQ tests on all the kids and placed them in classes according to how high their IQ was - which makes sense in a way, but it branded the kids in lower rated classes as stupid and that's how they went through their entire school lives - as the 'stupid kids'. How fair is that?
I think a test that scores 'EQ' (emotional intelligence - if that actually can be done) is far more interesting to measure people by.
But fuck, why should people be measured at all?
