We're not against the idea, but there are only so many frustrated emails we can get about obviously disruptive thread jacking and such. If it was our inclination to bounce these sorts of characters, we'd do it, but we think it's fair to let them know that they are pushing the line a bit lately.

See, but I'm getting the impression you'd talk about yourself through the whole thing and that really turns me off.

Every forum should also try to respond to a high volume of complaints about disruptive users. We're trying to do that as reasonably and straight forwardly as possible with a clear and easily followed request.

Usually people who were trying to have a conversation that got derailed by nonsense. You could look at this very thread for what that sort of thing looks like.

Don't forget following its own rules, like the ones forbidding: sign up under a bunch of different names, post nude pictures and naughty videos, use the f-word and be otherwise rude, start forty threads on the same topic when sober/drunk/moronic... err, I mean, gothic. Pretty much sums up the last couple of weeks.

Which you admins do very well, the few times you have been forced to intervene. I for one like that style.
