Hey, look, an intro. Imagine that.

I hate describing myself, and I absolutely hate trying to sum myself up. I'm never going to write a biography, simply for that fact that I never have a clue as to what people want to know/hear about me. Maybe I'm currently wrapped up in how awesome that pita I had for lunch is, but you're wondering where I got that watch. What I mean is that I'm not piped into your head with the awareness of what you're curious about.

So, barring any more of that, I'll just answer the sample questions and take it from there. :P

1. What do you do?
I think an easier question might be what don't I do. I'm a bit of a jack-of-all-trades; went to college for pre-med and walked away with Biology and Political History degrees. The majority of my work has so far been in PR/Marketing, though a book's chapter title comes to mind: "Mothers, don't let your children grow up to be Independant Contractors." I've also done computer programming and html design. My current project is to try and get a few sci-fi novels off the ground.

2. Where are you from?
Originally California, but I've lived in Maine for most of my life.

3. Who is your favorite author?
That would probably be slip between Terry Pratchett and Larry Nieven.

4. What are your favorite films?
I have a rought top ten, in order: Casshern, Evil Dead 2, Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas, Shaun of the Dead, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Ravenous, Monty Python's The Meaning of Life, Airplane!, Life is Beutiful and Chasing Amy and an honorary 10th place.

5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
I've said before that I want Richard Cheese to be my wedding singer.

6. At your funeral?
Hmm... something a bit faster paced. Not "up beat" specifically, but I want a proper send off.

7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I personally have no intention of dieing if at all possible; your great-grandchildren shall bow before my all-powerful head-in-jar-on-robotic-spider-body.

8. What kind of casket would you want?
Forming a solid brick of crystal around my body sounds neat. I've also planning to go the "Life Tree" route, where they meld your DNA into a tree after death.

9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
I'll have to go with my black pinstripe suit on this one.

10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Not having to work.

11. What's your favorite band?
Impossible for me to say; my tastes are far too varied for me to ever try and list a mix and have it make sense.

12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I've got degrees in Biology and Political History, as well as a 2-year degree in Psychology. I also minored in English Literature. I've got a large science background, but probably just as much of a historical background.

13. Why did you join?
It seemed amusing at the time?

14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Nope, I don't think it's terribly obvious so far. I'm male. :P I'm also 24, which is an odd question to be left out of all this.

Well, you saved ionic_angel a question, as he always asks for newcomers' ages.

You seem like one of the more educated to arrive here as of late, what with your variety of degrees and interests. Welcome to the boards. :]

Thanks for the welcome.

I was actually kind of curious as to what the response would be, as a few things I had glanced around here made me wonder if I didn't have enough razor blades and angst in my post.

I'm only about 4/5ths joking.

I love razor blades. They work like nothing else for scraping crappy tape residue off of glass. :-)

I love Larry Nieven! His anthology Neutron Star has been my favorite since Junior High in the late 1960's. I have read and reread it so many times the cover is missing as is the preface and half of the first page.

Welcome.

I'm a huge Ringworld fan for multiple reasons, not the least of which is the wonderful device itself.

I really need to read some of his other books, but the Known Space series is so large that I'm partially afraid of getting though it but even more afraid that I'll force myself to read all of them as quickly as I can. :P

Not to mention I'm sure I have a bit of Pak in me.

Your list of movies made me smile. I'd put a Tromaville movie for the honorary 10th one, if it were my list. Also, the "Life Tree" idea has my interest piqued. Willkommen!
