So, you have a history of picking the wrong guy. Might be something to keep in mind.

Ummm, I didn't pick him.
He started on me first. Telling me that I was really pretty and whatnot. Making me believe that he liked me.
He played with my heart and I went along with it.
As my good friend Danny says "Beautiful people are fucked up".
And I agree with him.

I've got another one, too.
The other one is in my top friends and the username is "Skittles".

Well, that I can believe. I mean, someone who's moving to Iceland for a guy they just met is clearly the type to go along with whatever's around.
(And don't say you're moving for yourself, because we both know that's bullshit. A couple of friends who sound more like acquaintances anyway are NOT a good reason to drop everything.)

Seriously, kid, try to be more original. There are two billion artists doing the exact same thing, and if you carry on doing this crud, you'll never make it as a musician.

Ummm, I'm telling the truth.
I've wanted to go back there since I arrived back in the UK after being there with my school.
I love Iceland. It's so beautiful and they're so efficient when it coems to energy.
Plus, they've got volcanoes. I love volcanoes. I've been interested in volcanoes since a very young age. That's partly why I went, because I kenw we'd be near some volcanoes.

Yeah, well lucky for you I'm writing some new songs.
My friend Danny is becoming quite famous in Iceland and his manager is asking musicians and singers from all over the globe to get into contact and then work with Danny.
No joke. You go onto his music myspace and you'll see the blog.
I havn't been able to get into contact yet, but because Danny knows me I'll just message him asking for all the details.

Little girl, I have played festivals and venues all over the world. I have outlasted many singer / songwriters. It's all about originality.
Also, awesome reasons for wanting to move to Iceland! You'll get to be near volcanoes!?!? WOW! I guess I will move there, too!
Oh wait, I'm not an idiot.
Nevermind..........

Danny is pretty darn original.
I'm trying to be original but when it's all been done that can be unbelievably hard.

No, it's not. Listen to what has done before, and do something different. What = Hard?

Well the fact that I've been told by people that my voice is similar to that of Amy Lees' (Which I don't believe, but if it was true, that wouldn't be a good thing).
Plus it's hard to write a song about something that hasn't already been written about.

Like how?
I assume that you know how hard it is to fidn the inspiration to write a song in the first place, correct?
Especially when you've had Goddamned writers block for the past couple of weeks.
Edit: Tell you what. I'll find lyrics that I've written but not put music to and you can see just how "Original" they are.

*Cracks knuckles*
(Now for a bit of shameless self-shill...)
my music
www.myspace.com/scarletlaughter
I try to write interesting lyrics. Both the songs on there are about love, but I tried to do it in different ways. Also, the actual delivery of the vocals can help to make a song interesting. In my case the vocal delivery stems from a lack of vocal talent and rather a lot to say.
And sounding like someone isn't too bad, to be honest if you find your natural voice it's going to sound better than singing in a way that doesn't agree with your vocal tone/range.
And two weeks??? I had a block that lasted 2 years.
And yeah I'd be interested to see the lyrics.

I need to find a professional recoding studio that I can afford. Plus a band to join.
Cuz my songs would sound tonnes better with the gaps filled in. I suck at guitar.....

I record all my stuff on a laptop. It doesn't cost, and I can do it all the way I want.
Also, if I want, I can record all the parts to a song on different tracks etc etc.
EDIT: And being in a band isn't easy. Especially if you're like me, and nobody you know shares any of your music taste.

Dude, not trying to knock you or anything but your music can hardly be considered original. That riff sounds like something I've definitely hard before. If a song name comes to me, I'll post it later.
