I want a child :(

I've been silently whining to myself for the past 4 months, I've been married for a year and 6 months...I've visited the doctor and nothing is wrong with me neither my husband and I can't seem to conceive a child...It's depressing because I want a baby...not ur average whining thread but I think I'm doing something wrong...any ideas?

Sometimes you just get unlucky for a time.

I'd keep trying for several more months, and if you don't conceive, maybe consult a different doctor.

Well, keep at it... if there is nothing wrong, then it should happen eventually.

I'm sure you've already tried this, but have you tried while you were ovulating? There is really only about 3 days you can conceive, which of course, is when you're ovulating (which is about two weeks before your period should start, not always though.) There are a few physical indicators that lightly suggest that you are in fact ovulating, but for the sake of modesty, I'd rather not mention them here (I can PM you if you want).

Generally speaking, try for a year. If you still cannot conceive, then visit your doctor.

I remember when I had to use a microscope to look at onion cells... but we had to dye them first. do most microscopes come with the dye?

Check for any sort of abnormalities in shape and behavior. Though I'm thinking it would be better for a doctor to do it since it would also be good to check the sperm count which I just can't imagine how you could do it yourself cheaply.

Screw modesty, here I go: When a woman is ovulating, she can notice a slight increase in vaginal discharge, which will also be more liquidity than normal. This is due to the mucus plug in the cervix "thinning" out, which allows sperm to move along easier to get where they need to go.

Maybe it's just that I haven't taken biology since I was in 10th grade, but I have a question.
Why is it that older people, less than a decade older in fact, have to have time tables to get pregnant while people my age will get knocked up with major LULZ to friends around?

If I recall correctly younger women actually ovulate for a longer period of time(like an extra day or two a month), that and your mucus plug isn't as substantial until you are a bit older (which I believe can also increase your risk for hpv).

In addition, we're not really counting all the teens that don't get pregnant, and the adults that get pregnant easily.

Ever try screwing every night? I mean that's basically what you have to do if you don't know if you're ovulating or not... Also when you're having your period isn't that a good time as well?

I'm sure there is nothing wrong with you, it can take a awhile though. You can buy those things that tell you if you're ovulating from the chemist aswell.

AngelikDemonik is right....check your secretions...if they're liquidy and clear, that's the time to really try. If it's thick and white you're not gunna get pregnant very easily.

Someone I know uses the help of Body Basal Temperature to find out the days when she's ovulating. Err, I tried to post the link, but the site didn't let me. Anyway, you can just google it.

Thank you so much guys, the info was helpful...and will probably go to the drugstore to get those pills to know when i'm ovulating...and as for looking in the microscope...i know how to look in one...duh!!! But, i don't think in Lebanon we have any disposable whatever to do that here.l...hahaha!
