Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

Sounds like a someone I would love.
So, how about, to add to the list, D'espairs Ray, Silver Ash, Seshui (death pool), Yizi, yes, Malice Mizer, and on and on.
Asian music is my love. Espeically chinese stuff when I can find it.

I have a dark skin friend who would like to do the make-up Gothic, but she doesn't know what foundation she need to use to make her skin look pale. Any suggestion, guys? She's Asian.

Oh, I suggested her to use the white foundation, but it looked weird though. Coz only her face looked pale, but her neck and her hands...

WHAAA!! I didn't realize there was a thread about this! I'm listening to Alice Nine right now! I love Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, Gley, Alice Nine, Luna Sea, The Pillows (not technically viskei, but I love "Ride on Shooting star"), X Japan, and there's a neat Japanese industrial band called Mono No Aware. Okidokey...

Yes someone else who likes Alice Nine! Malice Mizer is great (Mana!), Luna Sea, Psycho le Cemu, L'Arc en Ciel, Mois Dix Mois, Due le Quartz, Dir en Grey, and X Japan... I'm sure there's more. I've been meaning to download some songs from Gley, my friend always talks about them!

They actually spell it Glay, not Gley, if you're talking about who I think you are. They're so -happy- *giggles* My Japanese teacher used to play Glay in class a lot, she'd always get terribly worried when I told her what other Japanese bands I liked. And she'd laugh a lot when we talked about Gackt, lol. Japanese "alternative" fashion makes me drool.

And here I thought I was the only one who was into the j-rock scene. Anyone heard D'espairs Ray yet?

There is a difference between the whole visual kei thing and goth. I think some of you are mixed up about that. In Japan they are totally seperate.

Oh I know, but there is a bit of cross over even though the two styles are very different. Obviously Izam Vogal has as much to o with goth as my grandma, but Blood fits right in. Blood is usually ( if not mistaken) considered goth and VK. So the two are close, but still different.

They aren't "totally seperate"... it's just that viskei is simply a fashion created by a group, and goth just isn't about fashon alone. Does anyone remember Centurion? I wonder whatever happened to him... he was an English teacher in Japan, and pretty cool by me.

hm... from what I've seen on the 'net if it started a store anywhere in the states it would most likely be California. Somehow I doubt it... and if it did catch on, it would probably be with a bunch of chicks that want to look like the chick from evenescence (sp,sp, I know) and know nothing about gosorori.

You know, sometimes I really wish to be asian... I'm not sure why that is. Hungarians/Magyars are technically Mongolian, or were at one point... I guess I'm the asian wannabe equivalent of a whigger
