I always always taught that it was supposed to be 'til, if you're going to shorten it from until. I did a Google search for "define: till", and nothing came up about time.
However, that "usage note" at the end makes sense. I blame my second grade English teacher (Who coincidentally spoke French).
Regardless, my bad. I still stand by my other points though.

I'm not joking either. I lived in Montreal when I was in second grade. My English teacher spoke primarily French, and had horrible English herself.

I remember I really really liked grape juice when I was a kid, but drank too much, later got car sick and threw up purple. Never touched the stuff since.
