People confuse me
yeah I know, I was totally dissed on this forum...whatever. I'm just whining because people are so damn confusing. One minute u think, they're alright, right? The next minute it's like a totally different person. I dont know why I get so paranoid about people not being themselves, but when everyones so fucking dissociated, it gets pretty boring....and everyone is so consumed in themselves, self- over all else...

I think that's because [most] folks aren't one-dimensional. People have many hidden depths to them, and we often don't even know ourselves as well as we would like to think.

That would be deep and insightful, but I knew the very second I saw you'd posted in this thread that your post would be of similar sentiment, "everyone's unique" "we don't understand the beast within" etc. so really, you are pretty one-dimensional.

I didn't mean either of those things, actually; some folks -aren't- unique, and some folks are -very- one-dimensional. My point, rather, is that we don't know other folks half as well as we think we do, and there are aspects of even ourselves that we don't believe really exist until we are put in certain situations.
As for understanding that Beast, I think some folks understand it quite well, and that Psychology has made great strides in further understanding that "Inner Beast".
That, and I was agreeing with her that people can be complicated and confusing.

Yeah we do, I mean some of us aren't all that close but a lot of us have gotten to know quite a lot about each other and have really been there for each other when dealing with problems off of the boards (personally I was quite touched by the kind words and advice that I received when I lost my father a few years ago), some of us have even gotten to know each other off of the boards and even hang out in real life.
