What are you thankful for?
Dear folks,
Well, it's Thanksgiving and once again I am at work. I was just getting ready to whine about that when a security guard reminded me that I should be thankful that I have a job. I was going to whine anyway about what a bummer it is to be the only person working today in my building when I was joined by a friendly Iranian who is in the same boat, (not to mention the doctors for whom I work). So we all got to commiserate over tea about what a bummer it is to have to work on the Holiday's, but to be thankful for the work.
So, I'm thankful for my friends, my coworkers (sometimes, when they aren't whining and being cranky) and my extended/immediate family. I am thankful to have a place and a job, at least at this point.
So, how about you folks?

I am thankful for family, friends, employment, health, a roof over my head, a warm dry place to sleep, food to eat and the whole world of literature waiting out there to be read and written.

I am thankful for having first a good family , which I'm proud to belong . Second , for the few ones who share life and dumb books with me . Third for my health , for being able to walk , to hear , to touch and feel .
And most important of all today : I'm thankful for spending the day all alone , just like every stupid family celebration (including my own birthday) , and being able to celebrate what I want , when I want and how I want without feeling guilty .
Happy Thanksgiving everyone

I'm thankful for my family. They love me and want the best for me and are quite reasonable (most of the time).
And I'm thankful for being of the middle-class, as unfair as I feel that is, since I think there are people who better deserve it.
I'm thankful for my boyfriend, who's interest in me absolutely boggles my mind.
I'm thankful that I have a passion, which is art. I've been adrift in the sea of possible interests before, and it sucked.
That being said, I'm Canadian and celebrated Thanksgiving about a month and a half ago.
P.S. Not that I'm not still thankful for those things.
