Contact Lenses

I am looking into getting some abnormal contacts for the club.

This site looks pretty nice and they are cheap , 29.99 per pair.

http://www.colorlens4less.com/index....products_id=17

What do you guys think of this pair?

I also like these, but they are twice as much

and

I'd go with the first pair or the last pair . The red cat eye ones are horrible, and loads of people have them.

I haven't had any contacts for a couple of years. I've tried Silver and Black so far and I liked both of those. I did find a site that sold the same style of contacts worn by Vin Diesel in Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick, but at Ł 300 PER EYE???????? No. No thanks I'm not made of money!

Personally, I think fashion lenses are tacky and a waste of money. My natural eye colour is just fine (almost black brown), and anyway I could buy a whole new outfit for that amount of money. But I like the third pair best, it's more subtle than the others. Oh, and I think FourEyez lenses are cheaper but I'm not sure.

I want to get black or white ones.
But i don't know how long they last and the people/places I have asked are very vague on the matter.
They also cost a metric fuckton.

the all black ones that cover your whole eye or just the middle? The full eye ones are uncomfortable as hell to wear. The middle eye ones are normally good for 90 days or up to 8 hrs at a tine ,but my ex has her for a year since she only wears then infrequently.

Only ones that cover the iris.
They last for ninety days even if I don't wear them much?

No the 90 days is normally the max they say you can wear them consistantly. . But no one is going to wear them 90 days in a row. They also say you shouldn't wear them more then 8 hrs max. But they last a long time if you keep then in the solution. My ex has hers for a year now. I guess it also depends which brand it is. The ones I posted are the cheaper ones. The more expensive might last longer.

The iris ones are cheap also btw. That site has them for 40 bucks a pair. Other companies charge 60. They may not last as long or be as bright but if it's just black or white that won't matter

Aaah.
Most places I know sell them with the solution separately.
So without the solution they don't last as long.
I shall look more into it.

I checked and FourEyez pairs are pretty cheap, and they have the patterns you mentioned.

Yea they look pretty cool. I might get something like that. I am also thinking of the Manson kind. Not because of him, but cause it would look cool with the old school goth whiteface look. The tiny pupils. Not sure though.

I prefer contact lenses with a 'normal' pupil shape - from a friend's experience, cat eyes can spin round so if you don't check them often your pupils can end up pointing in opposite directions which can look bizarre.

Ahaha.
If you look at the link Elysiume posted you can see it on the bloody models.

I'm still looking into getting those black lenses.
I was gonna use Christmas money but I have barely enough to get other things I needed.
Aahwell.

If you do get them, I say browse around and find the best deal and/or the best lifetime on them.
I bought white ones last january which lasted 3 months to a year if kept properly and the only time I wore them was to take a photograph for my gcse art exam...

Aah.
That's another reason I'm not going to buy them soon.
I have no need for them at the moment.
I want them for stage stuff with my band.
But we're not fully functional yet.

Yeah I agree, they're only worth buying if you know you're going to use them, thirty pounds odd is a hell of a lot of money!!

My point exactly.
I'm still not sure as whether to use black or white.
White are kinda cool but they don't QUITE match up with the white of the eye.

I also found that they 'bulge' [couldn't think of a more appropriate adjective than that] away from your eye and it can look quite odd, your eye isn't totally spherical anymore, especially looking at a person's profile when they're wearing them.

Also, I found with my white ones that I could see a tiny crescent of the blue from my eye through the hole in the lense over my pupil, which made the 'bulging' even more prominent and it looked weird... Maybe it was just the manufacturers but it was quite a well known brand.

You should go for black i think - it's less common. Otherwise alternate one black with one white and have odd eyes?

Twistedsyn - thanks! I unintentionally went for the Grinchy look

Ha, I would love to see that!

My friend has freaky ones in white. And sometimes he just wears one. I tell him not to wear them around me, because they make me queasy. They look cool though. x

The cat eye ones do spin around and look awkward.

FX lenses are not for everyone. I've worn regular contact lenses for years, but the FX lenses I wore when I worked the haunted house were terrible feeling on my eyes.

In cosplaying, contact lens are designed to be unique depended on the character.

Look them up.
