Could someone explain to me how the ranking system works on this forum? Currently I'm being labeled as mopeygoth which I don't really enjoy that much. Will my rank change in time?

It changes with your post count. New posters are Babygoths, after 10 you're a Mopeygoth, after 50 you're something else, and so on and so forth.

It's not serious; just something fun added by the mods.

I realized I went trigger happy with editing threads, how do I delete my own threads?

You can't delete your own threads. You have five minutes after a thread creation or post in order to edit or delete it. Be mindful of that next time.
