Quotes From My Brother: the worst person to watch movies with in the world.
My brother is 20 years old and the worst person to watch movies with in the world.
The typical viewing is bound to be wrought with the lines "Who's that?", "What did he say?" and the ubiquitous "What's going on?" at least a dozen times in some form or fashion. On top of that there are really a couple of zingers.
We just got done watching the Dark Knight and throughout the film he had the following "Facepalming" questions to offer. To add to what a miracle these are you should know that, not only is he is 100% serious and gets mad at you if you question his intelligence, but has ALREADY seen the movie when it was in theaters.
During the opening robbery scene:
"Wait, so they just shot the joker?"
During when Alfred is telling Bruce about his jungle adventures:
"Alfred was Batman in the first one right?"
Halfway through the movie:
"So when does the Joker become Two-Face?"
When the Joker is in questioning and says "The question is 'Are they your men, or Maroni's?":
"What's a 'maroni'?"
When Batman saves Harvey:
"I thought he was going to save his sister"
On the tanker:
"So the big black guy was working for Twoface?"
That's all I can recall. There were more These are serious questions from my brother...
The Worst Person To Watch Movies With In The World.

Hey, look on the bright side. You never have to rent a comedy again. You can just put any normal movie in, and watch your brother's humorous antics in real time.

It's not funny when you're right there and he's family. Only later is it humorous, and more in a really sad way than something that makes you laugh.
It DEFINITELY isn't mst3k funny.

Haha, that was fun.
I actually had a similar reaction to your brother. I didn't understand why he saved Harvey when he said he was going for Rachel (though I didn't think she was his sister)
It was only after seeing it again that it occurred to me that it might just be that the Joker is clever.

Didn't he try and save Harvey so that the city would have an icon/leader to look to?

Your brother reminded me of my friend, who ask me why did Hannibal kill those people while we were watching 'Silence of the Lamb'
Some people weren't destined to easily comprehend things.

My cousin's husband is like your brother. i hate watching movies with him. i made the mistake of insisting he watch Snatch. It took us almost four hours to watch it because of constant pausing.
i once watched 12 Monkeys with him just for the hell of it. That was fun.

Exactly! I always try to ignore him and he's like "Hello, :repeats question:... Somebody?".

Heh. It sounds like he may have trouble paying attention. Does he have ADHD or anything?

I think it's more of a confidence thing.
Like he could figure it out for himself, but wants help instead.

If that's the case, then maybe he's just screwing with you.
Try ignoring him next time, no matter what he does.

No, he's dead serious. I know my brother. He's terrible at 'just fucking around'. If you mess with him, he gets offended. He always resorts to violence in an intellectual dispute. He's just an idiot who doesn't know himself.

Funny, my family are practically the opposite.
I usually want to watch a movie a couple of times to get properly into it but the first time I watched Donnie Darko, my seven-year-old (at the time) sibling kept up a running commentary about which scenes meant what and the significance of the wormholes and everything.
His main talent is his ability to follow movies, methinks. Hah.

Guys, he DIDN'T go to save Harvey. He went to the place where the joker told him Rachel would be. The Joker lied. He also proved that the "super hero" Batman is full of shit. He went after the girl he loved first. Hence his surprise when he found Harvey.

hehe , you made me laugh ..........
No , actually the worst person award goes to my step sister , who is asking even about he language of the movie (dude , you are HEARING IT) , talking about the clothes , the cars , the oh-so-fine guys (?) and starts to speak about someone's underwear at her school because she feels like it .
She is 14 , but usually acts like 4 or 5 all the time ... All you can hear during a movie is "SHUT UP , we want to watch this movie" and her stupid voice .
