If anyone knows...
...where to find suitable equipment for packing, please let me know.
I have regular equipment of that nature, but is it possible to find a flaccid one suitable for wearing just during the day?
My interweb searches didn't turn up much.

Erm, I really hope I didn't misinterpret this...
Are you mostly going for a realistic appearance or do you want to be able to really use it as well? I used to have a regular one that wasn't all that rigid, I never tried it myself but I think something like that could work. It'll probably create a huge and not very realistic bulge though.
I saw that trans character on the L word use a type of prosthetic that only provided a realistic shape but I wouldn't know where you'd find something like that.
I never thought about packing myself but if I were to consider it I would definitely want to be able to actually use it.
I trust you won't mind sharing the stories!

Smelly: I think she is looking for a realistic-looking, daily use, fake male organ.
Ophie: If I'm way off-base, then I apologize. Also, I didn't realize you were trans. I hope you find what you are looking for.

More realistic appearance, because I have a very high quality set for practical use. Like you said, you can't very well go to the club wearing it, because you'd look ridiculous. I want one that I would know about, and my lady would feel when I danced close to her or something, you know?
I haven't really found anything like it...

I've been trans "at heart" for a long while, and was seriously considering and looking into sex change operations for a while, but am looking for a good middle ground.

Not now, no, but I've thought about it, and may again in the future.
I'm really enjoying being female now, but it would be wonderful to be able to masquerade as a man.

This thread happened to inspire a quite amusing haunt of several toy sites, and I think I found the prosthetic thing I saw on the L word. If I understand correctly that's more what you're looking for. It's called 'Mr. Right'.
http://store.babeland.com/dildos-silicone/mr-right
It looks pretty big to me, so it may not be subtle enough for you, but there are many similar products available so you should be able to find a smaller one. Apparently the general term for them is 'soft pack', as opposed to a 'hard pack', or a 'pack and play'.
I've had quite an educational afternoon

Actually, I did check out the Mr. Right, but it didn't seem, uh...right.
I am going to purchase this little gem.

Oh wow, that -does- look realistic. It seems to have a lot of positive reviews as well.

I saw those too this afternoon, they do look a little more subtle and realistic.
This one is on my wishlist, although I'm affraid it's a little more than I can take. There's this smaller version, but that looks a lot less cool.

Oh god I can't even look at things like that without breaking into often hysterical giggling. I just can't see anything remotely desirable about them at all . Which is why I've never owned one. Yet my friend's sister has about 7 dildos :o Talk about spoiled for choice...

I get that with the really realistic ones.
I do really appreciate the more 'artistically' designed ones though. I used to have a really beautiful glass one that you could just leave on the nightstand, and I saw a few pretty cool steel ones today.

No those are even worse. They just seem utterly pointless and alien looking. And not really the sort of thing I'd leave sitting around no matter how artistic it looks. I have a horrible vision of people picking it up and going " what's this? " :O Nnnnooooooooooo!

Thinking about artistic pieces in the form of male genitalia reminds me of A Clockwork Orange.

I thought so too actually. Wasn't until I read Tam's post that I was like "Oooooooh THAT kind of packing."
It bothers me that Tam understood and I didn't.

Actually, thats how I interpreted it at first as well.
I haven't heard anyone call them 'packing' before. So now I know.

huh I didn't know that you were trans, and I though I wasn't going to learn anything new today, cool. It seems like you have made a good choice there, it looks very natural and apparently those ones feel quite realistic as well. Out of curiosity what size are you planning to get?

Good, I've seen people go for large ones that were completely disproportionate to their bodies, it is giggle inducing.

I found the site, but I don't think they have anything flaccid, but if you're looking for other toys this site has some interesting ones
