Lovecraft and Vincent Price are two that I know of. Based on your introduction post you do indeed seem like someone that I would get along with. Keep in touch, I'm always up for conversation with interesting individuals...

Canton, Plattsburgh, etc? You're waaayyy up there! The winters are brutal in those parts.
Also, I agree about wanting to watch Near Dark. I'm going to go do it right now.

Heh, I'm surprised you even know the existance of Canton or Plattsburgh... have you ever heard of a ridiculously small town called Massena? Unfortunately that's where I'm located for the time being...

Actually, yes. Many, many years ago I visited an aunt who lives there. I haven't been up that way since. I remember stopping at Mr. Mike's Pizza in Lake Placid, and that's about it.
I know Canton and Plattsburgh because I've got a friend who went to St. Lawrence, and our collective friends and I would all visit him for Snowbowl. I wasn't much of a fan of the college crowd then, and I can't say I am now either. Shame that I'm still in school, eh?

Haha I don't blame you for not coming back up this way, I wouldn't visit this part of the state either! I got my BA in art up here in Potsdam... there are some interesting people in Potsdam, Plattsburgh too but overall I tend to avoid the college crowd as much as possible. Unfortunately my regular tattoo artist is located in Potsdam and whenever school is in session the shop is always filled with those annoying brats...

Hahaha, I get a kick out of college kids picking tattoos off the wall for the hell of it. They put no thought or emotion into something that's going to be with them all the way to the grave. I thought they were supposed to be SMART!

I remember one time I was sitting in the chair during one of my sessions for my half sleeve, this sorority girl kept watching me. She finally came over and asked, "Um, so like, do tattoos like, hurt?"

Not having one, I can only imagine that they tickle. Like, y'know, what do you think, a Tinkerbell or a cartoonish butterfly on the small of my back?

Definitely a cartoonish butterfly on the small of the back.... ooooh even better, and surround it with some derivative tribal work! That'd be HOT!

Couple that with a few blonde streaks in my hair, and the world will just KNOW that I'm rebellious and counter-culture! Woo!
