Let me tell you why i hate democrats.
You only need to look closely into it not to be one or become one.
1. Civil liberties? Nope, they can’t even agree on Gay Marriage.
2. Education? Nope, they don’t want any “new” taxes to take care of the problem.
3. Anti-War? Nope, they showed exactly what they think about that. Invade Iraq? Yep, fine by them. Fund the war? Yep, can’t stop that. Force the president to withdraw? Of course not! Don’t be silly.
4. What about health care for everyone? Wow, why even suggest that? There goes a decent amount of funding, that would never happen.
5. How about the environment, do they stand for that? Nope. Although a majority of the money donated by large oil companies still go to Republicans, Democrats still receive 27% of all oil and gas money.
6. Holding the president accountable, maybe they are for that… right? Nah, that would take “too much time”, or so they want us to believe. They claim that impeachment proceedings will take away from ‘important matter’, like… renaming libraries.
And i'll leave you with a little something.
Okay, I got your attention.
And to all Democrats:
Get out of my life.
Stop trying to take my personal property.
Stop trying to infringe on my RIGHT to take personal responsibility.
Stop presuming that you know what's better for me than me.
Stop telling me how to live.
Stop telling me how to define my moral values.
Stop telling me how to plan for my own future.
Stop telling me how to raise my kids.
Stop telling me how to educate my kids.
Stop taking my hard-earned income.
Stop trying to take care of my own health.
Stop telling me how to run my own business.
Stop telling me how to live.
Just GO AWAY!

Yeah! Don't tell Creature how to raise her children! If a bottle of Jack is good enough for her, it's good enough for her unborn too! You don't tell her what to do! How Democratic of you!

I agree with creature6, the government must stops ignoring the Bill of Rights and respect our freedom. It is getting out of hand. Maybe next they will send government workers to over see how we live everyday and then will be paying 80% of our income in taxes. Then there will be no doubt we are communists. Unfortunately, we are paying for all this crap. We are paying for a war on ourselves (War on Drugs) and to abort people's childrean. WTH, Niether makes sense at all. Perhaps if we stopped all these lame programs or got them under control the police would be back to actually doing something important like protecting the innocent.

I agree that his pro-life stand is worrisome.
I do like the sunlight legislation act, however.
All in all he is- at best- a naive guy with some super-nutty, racist, homophobic, nationalist fans, and at worse he's a way for the republican leaders to convince libertarians to vote against their own interests.
Most of his fans are not racist nor homophobic. Nor are his supporters nutters. I think has alot of good ideas just could do with out his pro-life stands..

Ron Paul is the closest thing to a Libertarian we have..except maybe his son Rand.

I agree with the above but I'm not naive enough to beleave Republicans are any better. Sure they are for personal responsibility & claim to be for limited government..tell that to Bush Jr. & his cronies. But I'll vote Republican to get rid of national healthcare law & the other socialist tinged things Obama & his Marxist lovin advisers are trying to push. Otherwise I'd vote Libertarian if I thought we could ellect one to office in 2012.

Why is it republicans like to spend money they don't have (deficit spending) on guns and bombs and their supporters fully endorse this, but when democrats actually pay for social benefits for people by using tax money the same people go crazy?
For example bush. He turned a 1 trillion surplus into a 3 trillion deficit. He spent trillions. Just because he didn't raise taxes to pay for it doesn't mean the debt goes away. It's like a credit card. For some reason republicans think if they are not paying for it now (i.e. via tax increases) then they never have to pay for these programmes the government implement.
Most all of that money went to guns and bombs. Profits were sent to the defence industry. The average American saw none of it.
Now there is a democratic president. He is focusing on giving health care to Americans instead of killing foreigners. He has spent far less, and due to his financial thinking is tacking funding like a many without a credit card - pay as you go. The republicans act like this is the end of the world.
The reality is, you pay for it either way. Removing a democrat from office won't make your taxes drop, it makes your debt pile up and money is redirected to large defence contractors instead of social programmes.
Pretty much all of the complaints listed above have no bearing on either party as none will be solved no matter which party is in office.
Futhermore, the list of 'things' that yer one above doesn't want the government doing would be better aimed at republicans than democrats. For example:
And to all Democrats:
Stop trying to take my personal property.
On June 23, 2006 - on the one-year anniversary of the Kelo decision President George W. Bush issued Executive Order 13406 which stated in Section I that the federal government must limit its use of taking private property for "public use" with "just compensation", which is also stated in the constitution, for the "purpose of benefiting the general public."
Stop trying to infringe on my RIGHT to take personal responsibility.
Would that be the responsibility the bush administration took for the fault Iraq intelligence? Abu Gharib? Katrina? Oh wait, they shirked all responsibility and claimed no one was to blame. Looking to republicans for responsibility is like looking to a heroin junkie for personal restraint.
Stop presuming that you know what's better for me than me.
The bush administration had the DEA raid dozens of medical marijuana facilities in many states, even after the states passed laws legalising the practice.
Stop telling me how to live.
Lets not forget the former administration also made many abortions illegal and worked towards attempting to outlaw them altogether.
Stop telling me how to define my moral values.
Did you forget how the former administration blurred the line between church and state by opening up funding for religious groups based on beliefs? Muslim groups get no funding, but hey, if your a Christian churched backed group the new 'faith based initiatives' are for you!
Stop telling me how to plan for my own future.
Yeah! How dare they interfere with whats to come! Leaving behind trillions in debt, collapsing the economy, and leaving behind two wars, I mean, if that isn't screwing with your future I don't know what is
Stop telling me how to raise my kids.
Really? What kind of freedom are you looking for here? The right to leave your kid in a hot sweltering car while you get drunk on a Tuesday afternoon or the right to lock yer kids in the basement while you visit a strip club? A quick Google will give you a long list of reasons the government SHOULD tell people how to raise their kids.
Stop telling me how to educate my kids.
God forbid they learn something. I mean, if you want to teach them at home, fine. If you want to teach them Jesus rode around with Adam and Eve on a stegosaurus, then we have an issue.
Stop taking my hard-earned income.
No party you vote for is ever going to stop taxes. The idea of there being no taxes is insane. A person who drives to work on paved roads, through traffic lights, to get to work where they have access to police, fire, and rescue services that thinks they can have all of that (and more) without paying any taxes is living in a fantasy world and should not be taken seriously.
Stop trying to take care of my own health.
Shut down all hospitals! We can sew up our own cuts like Rambo! Where is my survival knife and fishing line! 1/3rd of Americans have government run health care. That includes the military past and present, government officials, and those on Medicaid. Guess what? Everyone who has it loves it. You can choose to live in a shack and not avail of these services if you choose, but like the fire department and police services you still have to pay for them to be there if someone else needs them.
Stop telling me how to run my own business.
I know! The damn government! Interfering in my business! Sending out health inspectors to restaurants! Setting standards for the tap water that you get in public! Telling oil companies they have to have safety measures in place to make sure there are no oil spills! Who do they think they are?
Stop telling me how to live.
Ever read about Ruby Ridge or the Unibomber? In both cases, these people moved off the radar. They went out into the woods and lived off the land. No electricity, plumbing, etc. No one is stopping you. The freegan movement is in full swing - you have the right to do this. You can't however sit in yer apartment in an urban area and complain about the government though, as that is moronic.
Reading this thread and some of the replies like this really makes you think the government of China is on to something - licensing people to breed.

If you don't think Republicans will fire someone like us, then you are totally wrong because it happened to me 13 years ago. The state that I live in has been Republican for I don't know how long. And this is one of the only states that it seemed to take forever when it came to legalizing things like piercings, tattooing, etc.
