First off, I like your name. You're a drunk Hispanic, no?
Second off, it's the DiY ethic you're thinking of. It's been passed down from Punk and adapted by many other subcultures. It just so happens Goth is one of them (particularly the deathrock subgenre that fuses this technique) where you'll find uses of torn clothing and fishnets and other spooky shit.
Thirdly: In my humble opinion this poster did a phenomenal job in her honesty. So Wolfie I'm sorry to inform you but Apathy is correct. She's not oppressing goth in the least bit so we should put this fire out before it spreads.
