I think this has gone on long enough really, I am using my forum abilities to ban Condemned. Maybe someday he'll learn better, perhaps after his way of thinking has lead to him becoming isolated in his home, or put in an isolation cell in prison. But for now I'd rather just isolate the potential knife in my back from this forum.

Yeah, you clearly don't know the different between an absolutist claim and an axiom. And solipsism comes nowhere in play here.
Goodbye now. Come back when you actually know what you're talking about.

I just had to make an account after reading this crap my friend sent me. I read the entire thing and noticed that he never even started the fight to begin with, then you ban him because he was defending himself. Thanks for being a corrupt moderator who abuses power and bans people when losing an argument.

Goodbye now. Come back when you actually know what you're talking about.
My friend knows the difference between the two and tried to explain everything to you. You have no idea what you are talking about and you never did the whole time. I watched some of the time and noticed your dirty tricks. Way to go, buddy. By the way, it's 'difference', not 'different'. Goodbye.

He never said his idea was right, did he? I never saw him say such a thing anywhere in this forum. I kind of see some ego in your replies. Failure to grasp irony is your fault, I must say. He never even tried to prove that killing general people is right because he never said it was in the first place. You people are fucking retarded. Tell your corrupt moderator to ban this account too. People like you are the reason why I stopped using forums years ago. Maybe my friend will learn not to argue with idiots like you.

Sure, I'm a "corrupt mod". Fact is I can do what I did whenever I want. This is a privately owned forum, that you paid absolutely nothing for, there is absolutely nothing illegal about removing an unwanted person from private property. Sure anyone can join, just like how anyone can walk up to my front door in real life and say hello, doesn't mean I have to let them in.

Everything that is in this post is true, from a certain point of view. And yes I have now fit two star wars references into this thread.

Me, too. Mine passed away about four years ago, so it would be kind of odd to say the least.

You are a regular Gothic.net member, not a moderator at all. You have exploited and abused the post infraction system. Looking into it, this isn't the first time either.

I apologieze for any offense I may have caused you. However if you'll read my post carefully I made sure for your sake not to make any claim of being a mod. Like I said, everything I said was true. Pretty much this was all a big bluff.

"I am using my forum abilities to ban Condemned"- Technecally speaking, they were abilities I have, as well as abilities everyone else has.

"Sure, I'm a "corrupt mod"."-I merely said in a sarcastic way that I was a corrupt mod, at no point making a statement that I was a mod, it was all an assumption on the other person's part due to their lack of knowledge of the forum features.

"Fact is I can do what I did whenever I want"-Up until now I haven't really heard anything from anyone that has in anyway whatsoever discouraged using the infraction system in any way one pleases. I've seen plenty of people just throw around infractions for alot less. The only effective use the infraction system has really seen is in stopping spam bots.

Frankly the whole point of those posts was to deceive the guy, so he wouldn't realize that he could of easily repealed the ban whenever he wanted. I must admit I wasn't quite sure what you would think of this, and now that I do know, I am quite frankly, embarassed at my actions, and deeply sorry. It is by these feelings, that I ask for your forgiveness and promise to not use the infraction system in such a way again.

Renatus, your predictable stammering semantic excuse almost irritates me more than the exploit of our system did.

I had hoped that at least in the case of 'vastly inappropriate images' being posted here, we could allow users to ban offenders, but you had to use that option to silence someone you apparently didn't like, who didn't post any pictures at all.

Oh, sure, Renatus gets in trouble, but when Deadman has nothing to say he just gives me infractions and that's ok.

Deadman abused the infraction system with me for no good reason as well. I wonder why Renatus specifically got this kind of attention.

On the matter of the OP and this thread, this isn't by any stretch of the imagination the most irritating introduction thread I've seen posted here, and I'm scratching my head a little as I consider more than two pages of tail chasing.

I will say this - the arguments for absolutes left me (as all such arguments eventually do) unconvinced, especially this one:

Quote:

That not only is not an absolute ... it's a self-contradictory statement.

Space is not vacuum. That is an outdated belief, belied by the science we now know and the rest of your sentence.
vac·u·um   [vak-yoom, -yoo-uhm, -yuhm] noun

1. a space entirely devoid of matter.

2. an enclosed space from which matter, especially air, has been partially removed so that the matter or gas remaining in the space exerts less pressure than the atmosphere ( opposed to plenum).

3. the state or degree of exhaustion in such an enclosed space.

4. a space not filled or occupied; emptiness; void: The loss left a vacuum in his heart.

5. a vacuum cleaner or sweeper.
Clearly definition 5 doesn't apply to the use of the word vacuum in the OP's context. Also, definition 2 & 3 don't apply, as our current understanding of space does not in any way allow for it to be described as an enclosed space. That leaves us with definitions 2 and 4. And as the OP's sentence indicated, space is filled with matter, some of which (galaxies, stars, gasses, etc.) the OP listed.

Therefore, the OP's statement is a cosmological fallacy, an astronomical error, a universal falsehood and an unscientific statement.

Plus, any statement of what the universe contains is bound to be inaccurate ... scientists are still exploring, debating, speculating on and discovering what space is made of. From dark matter, imagined particles and inexplicable forces ... space is too much of a mystery for any absolute statements to be made about it.

The bottom line is that this community does not welcome those who seriously state they want to kill (as opposed to say, my fiction where I kill off characters in a story). We do not want to encourage the already distorted image the public has of us as trench coat wearing murderers. Ren and Alan were right to call Condemned on his earlier words. Had the newbie read the posts of this community beforehand he would have learned we actually have hearts for our fellow man, despite their shallowness and herd instinct at large. There is nothing wrong about complaining about the public, but to to advocate genocide is immoral and self destructive.
