requesting your opinion on business name

For a business selling gothic handicrafts such as clothing, bags, boxes, bedspreads, curtains, etc., which name do you prefer?

Askance Glance
Askance
Anything But Typical
Endarkenings
Standard Deviations
Consistently Different

Or do you hate all of them and suggest something else?

Askance Glance is the best one I think. Anything But Typical used to be a name of an online goth store a while back. They used to give away free longsleeve shirts with their logo on it when you purchased a certain amount of goods. I have one lying around somewhere.

Yeah, Anything But Typical was my shop. I've been thinking about re-opening on a much smaller scale and with strictly my own crafts. I'm not sure if I want to resurrect the ABT name or start with a new one.

Dreamforthedead has a point. Let your old friends and customers know you're back in black.

I would kind of like A Glance Askance.

But I do agree that it maybe better for marketing to go under your previous name.

That's awesome! I've wanted to have an online DIY reonstructed clothes site for awhile...off topic, but is it difficult to run your own shop?

Difficult? I think I would use the word "challenging." And certainly extremely time-consuming. It's easy to underestimate the time and effort needed to run a business. I did everything from editing the photos to building the website to packaging the orders to filling out the tax papers.

But it was worth every minute! It was the most rewarding thing I've ever done.
