Funny, I don't want to glorify the way China does things, but when an official was convicted in relation to a tainted toothpaste scandal a while back, he was executed rather expediently. It wasn't "Oh, well, there will be a fine and maybe a year or so in a minimum-security facility..." It was "You get the needle. Now."
