Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Hey Ducky

I want to fiddle around with starting a noise project. What program do you reccomend? It needs to be free or pirateable, as drugs are so very expensive.

Maybe you should read them and buy your drugs cheaper, then you can buy a good program.

Smartass.

I finally found a good torrent for FLstudio. This thread is irrelevant now.

I agree, FLstudio is a good program, however, for bigger projects, I prefer Adobe Audition.

If you're making laptop noise, Reaktor, FLStudio, Max/MSP, PureData for making the shit. Then Audition for tweaking it. You can tweak in FL, but it can be clunky, especially the newest one. If you're recording from analog stuff, through a mixer or whatever, then Audition or Cool Edit is great. Just get yourself some decent VSTs for it, the built in ones aren't really that great for noise or experimental stuff.
