Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL.

Gothic Metal, or Darkwave

I'm just wondering, what do you like better Gothic Metal/Symphonic Metal or Darkwave/Electro-Goth?

The First n00b that even THINKS the words Slipknot, korn or any OTHER nu-metal crap will be bish-slapped, I repeated will be BISH-SLAPPED. That is all.

I like both, and don't really know alot of bands in either genre.

Darkwave's the clear winner, far as I'm concerned. With the exception of Australia's own Virgin Black, I don't like Gothic Metal at all.

"Gothic Metal/Symphonic Metal"?
"Darkwave/Electro-Goth"?

Those sound like filthy marketing labels to me!

Anyway, to (sort of) answer your question, I prefer doom metal, some of which may fall into the former category. I haven't heard much darkwave though, so I can't really judge.

No one <3 's to hate you. They just hate you. It's a lot simpler than you're making out.

You might want to check post dates, friend. Bumping really old threads is rather ill-advised.
