My Sister Was Murdered

She had just turned 21 at the end of August. She was the sweetest, nicest, girl, very smart & witty, very beautiful. The pictures just don't do her justice, the way she radiated life and personality. I watched her grow from a bump in my mother's belly to the woman she became. I'm completely shattered by this. It's surreal how a person can be here one minute, and gone the next.

That's just tragic - and completely unnessecary - like they said in the article - If the guy stayed in jail for longer this probably never would've happened.

I don't really know what to say either,this is a terrible crime. The basterd not even letting up after being badly wounded by somone he supposedly cared for, to kill somone you were soo close to it's too cold for words. Judging by his confession it seems like this whole thing barely phased him. I just hope the judge that does the sentencing has the right mind to realize somone who would confess to doing somthing soo terrible should be sentenced due to his criminal past, despite the fact that he is probobly pleading guilty, he should never walk as a freeman again. Never should your sister have been put in such a situation where she would pay for the ignorance of the legal system. They should have kept him in jail for the stabbing for at least the 5 years. A stabbing is an extremely personal act of violence and only a truely deranged person can do such a horrific feat, the only fitting punishment is life.

As much as nothing I can say can make you feel better, you and your family have my deepest condolances. I can only hope that time will help to heal you. Though we don't really know each other, my heart is broken for your loss.

Thank you all so much for your kind words of support. Oh, I don't think I'll ever get used to her not being here. That such a life was extinguished is terrible beyond measure- she was such a ray of sunshine to everyone who knew her, she made absolutely everything so much fun just by being around. My baby sister- we had all the same childhood memories, and there is no one besides her who knows & understands all the things that happened in my life. Life just seems so much harsher now.

It gives you a true realization of the evil that modern society is capable of. A capacity for human emotion is what usually makes us more human than anything, yet not many people retain this capacity. It's events like this that truly sicken me and help me realize what a deplorable condition society is in nowadays. Once again, I'm here if you need someone to talk to.

*weak laugh* Yeah, I'm still not a "regular". Ah, thanks again for all your support it really is a comfort to me. She really IS alive in my heart, I can really feel her sending me love and reassurance, but it's not like having her here alive. I just can't believe I'm not about to see her walk in the door. We've been playing a local news channel all the time with the sound off because they keep flashing her photo and we like looking at her. She must be really mad about the photo they got- she HATED that picture. *another weak laugh*

You are probably tiered of hearing this, but i realy am sorry for your loss. It must be awfull to lose a sister that way, i lost one of my uncles this summer, so i think i know a bit hove you feel!

To have you're own sister taken from you is so hard to hear. I have a baby sister, half my age. God, I pray that justice will come in the end for you and you're family.
