Good morning sunshines!
Hi, my name is Mike. Most of my friend's call me Spike though. Just signed up looking for a new community. I just got back into my roots a year or so ago. Thinking about making some friends. Kinda did the normal thing; tryed being a rave dj for awhile. It got old. I prolly won't post to much at first. I kinda just like to lurk these things. We'll see though. I like goth, industrial, or metal, or any slew of combinations of those things for that matter. Always looking to find out about new music and yada yada. Damn it. I am already tired of doing this.
I have a myspace link in my profile if any stalkers are interested.
and I'm done.

Hmph. There's no sunshine from where I'm sitting. Today's a splendidly morbid day - dark, cold, cloudy and windy.
Anyway. *yada yada* ...You type like I feel. Welcome to Gnet.

And it's 11:00 AM over here. Aren't timezones a wonderful thing.
Ok seriously. I'm trying to be in a good mood but this morning I overslept, woke up with a huge hangover (guess why...) arrived late for work and got a crapload of shit to sort out because my boss feels like doing statistics.
Fuck.
Sorry.

I can relate on hard time. I've been working almost everyday 10 hour days for weeks. Kinda had a break the last week though. Pulled a umbilical hurnia but they are still making me work. Gotta be back there @ noon to set up a baseball field. blah...
the good thing about my job though is i can just put on my head phones and blur out all those hamster people.

It's half past five in the evening and it's dark here!
There is no sun, no burning heathen daystar. Yay!
Welcome, and so on. If I ramble, blame the fact I haven't eaten anything in nearly 24 hours. I should eat.

So with some newly inspired bravery, I have decided to go ahead and fill out this little question thingy that was provided.
1. What do you do? (Hobbies, job)
I am a maitnence man for a very large indoor sports complex. I will have worked there for 4 years as of febuary. My biggest hobby is music. Giving the nature of my job, I get to listen to a ton of it. At least 8 to 10 hours a day. I djed house and electro for several years. Dabbled in Drum and Bass for a little while. Now i am looking at adding some cdjs to my setup and spinning some goth/darkwave/industrial/ and ebm stuff. Maybe getting a live PA project going in the next few years. Kinda got alot on my mind when it comes to all that.
2. Where are you from?
Originally I was born in Palm Spring, CA but have been in Indianapolis since 89 after my father was transfered at his job.
3. Who is your favorite author?
C.S. Lewis prolly. I like alot of the old beat's stuff. Kerouac, Burroughs, ect.
I like Hunter S. Thompson alot. And of coarse Poe.
4. What are your favorite films?
Tank Girl, The Crow, Akira, I love Tarantino's work. Alot of cult classics and what not. Clockwork Orange, Rocky Horror, ect.
My Favorite kids movies are the Neverending Story and Labyrinth.
5. What music do you want played at your wedding?
H.I.M., David Bowie, The Cure, She Wants Revenge maybe, Sisters of Mercy. My girlfriend who passed away last spring wanted to play Let's Build a Snowman instead of Here Comes the Bride at our wedding. I thought that was great!
6. At your funeral?
After I heard the H.I.M. song called "Song or Sucide" It's an accoustic song only about a minture long. I knew that was what I wanted played first. Eli the Barrow Boy by The Decemberists, and Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here, would be pretty important songs to play amoungst others.
7. This IS a gothic website, so... how do you want to die?
I don't wanna think about that. lol!
8. What kind of casket would you want?
A nice big cushy one.
9. What's your FAVORITE outfit?
Black dress pants, dress shirt with a tie(white to black, black to white, whatever), black skull cap, fingurless knit gloves, Doc, and my leather coat.
10. What's one thing you miss about being a little kid?
Being all excited about toys in cereal boxes.
11. What's your favorite band?
Industrial: Skinny Puppy
Goth: The Cure
Death Metal: Bloodbath
Black Metal: Cradle of Filth
Emo/Rock: My Chemical Romance
Classic Rock: David Bowie(he could be classic rock right?)
I love him so much!
Punk: Rancid
EBM: Combichrist
House/Electro: Global Djs
Drum & Bass: Evol Intent
Live PA Electronic Act: Rabbit in the Moon
DJ: John B
12. What kind of education do you have? What is/was/will be your major?
I graduated High School. Tried college a couple times and it never worked. When my kids are older, I would like to go back and try being a world history major.
13. Why did you join?
Looking for new friends and wanted to find new music. Maybe something or someone to inspire me.
14. If the first 13 questions didn't give it away. What is your gender?
Obviously I'm a male.

It's cool, really. I try not to bring it up so much, but I felt the need to share that one thing about her in that question. She was an amazing person and artist. I've grieved plenty since her passing and I feel extremly ready to move on and just let things be. Thank you though darling. <3

Welcome, Mike. You going to check out Thrill Kill in Louisville? It'd be cool to bullshit with you a bit. ^___^ It's just the novelty I suppose. To meet a fellow G.netter.
