I visit Gothic.net very, very rarely, and post to this blog even less.

For my first entry on my Gnet blog, I'd like to give a summation of how I discovered Goth, and how I came to consider myself Goth.
It all began during Anime Expo in Anaheim, California. I saw some rather gothic-looking characters walking around, and realized that I really liked the style of clothing they wore.
At least, that's the superficial reason. The deeper reason is that, after the loss of a dream life, a parent, a friend, and a romance, I needed a way to grieve in a rather socially-acceptible way.
But, back to the superficial stuff. As I researched more and more about Goth, I realized I had the same interests as most other Goths: Horror films, dramatic clothings, an appreciation for dark aesthetics, etc. and so forth. Thus, for a multitude of reasons, I consider myself Goth. Or, at the very least, Gothic.
Yet, for those hardened Goths who are determined that Goth is only about the music, I must say that, once I figured out what the bloody hell Goth music was, I was terribly intrigued. I researched that deeper and deeper as well, and now have a whole array of interesting and different music that I enjoy a great deal.
Anyways, that's it for this first entry! I'm mostly disabling comments until I can be assured that no one's going to try and start an argument on my blogs about how very wrong I am on things that are merely opinion or just plain rude and hurtful comments.
Seriously, though, if you only want to leave comments because you feel like being mean, take it elsewhere.
Peace to you all!
