The Mighty Boosh?
This is my favourite programme ever. It's so funny & never usually makes sense. I watched a few from the first series, half of the second & the second episode from the third (played last night BBC2)
So far my favourites have been The Nightmare of Milky Joe (Howie & Vince get stuck on an island 7 start to belive the coconuts are real) , the one with Ol Greg in & Nanageddon (it had goths in!)
Anyways has anyone else seen it?

I wanted to go see it in the theatre, but I had no cash...
I must insert some quotes from the show sometime.

I caught one episode of the first season, the artic one (Ice flow, nowhere to go, lost in the blinding whiteness of the tundra) saw the dancing polar bear and thought it was my kind of silly thing.
Then BBC3 had the second season online before they aired it, so I got to watch them all. I then when back and watched the original series.
Love it, I'm a sucker for cockney accents so love the Hitcher and the Reaper taxi firm. Nanageddon was great too.. "Obsidian Blackbird McKnight", yup I'm sure we all know goths that pretentious.

Oh yeah The Hitcher with his Polo eye! Found some quotes!
Vince Noir: Goth Juice... The most powerful hairspray known to man. Made from the tears of Robert Smith
The Hitcher: Aagh! It hurts! It burns! You've liquified me, you slags
Howard Moon: Where did you get those sunglasses from?
Vince Noir: A passing Coyote took pity on me.
Howard Moon: Took pity on you did he? He took a piss on me!
Vince Noir: I think in his own simple way he was trying to cool you down.
The Moon: When you are the moon, there is a person people say is the sun. I saw the sun once, and he came past me, really fast. And it was an, it was called, the, an eclipse. And he came fast! But as he came past, I, I licked his back.
[sticks out tongue]
The Moon: And he doesn't know I licked his back! All in his yellow suit! ...I'm the moon.
Magic.

oh but you missed some of the best :
(the hitcher, taking a piss)
oooo its coming out of me like a yellow cable.
(can't remember this exactly)
Vince : I need to get to monkey hell
Reaper : I've just come from there, can't someone else take him?
Reaper taxi controller : Sorry, I'm running a skeleton crew as it is
And my fave :
And that's why you don't ask the moon.
I didn't know he was an alabaster retard, did I?!
Alabaster retard is such a wonderful phrase.

The one in Nanageddon that I really liked:
Howard:That's stupid you can't be dark, you're like candyfloss.
Vince:Yeah but cut me open & there's black jacks inside
Howard:Now come on, it's tutti fruiti & you know it.
Oh & the Old Gregg ones.
*I have a mangina
*Here's a close-up of Bailey's without getting your eyes wet
Most of The Moon's quotes are funny:
The Moon: And some say, Old Gregg is like a, a big fish finger, but big! Like um, like a garage. As big as a garage. Imagine that fish finger, when you can see it is as big as a garage, oh! It isn't small, it's the big one! Like that.
Oh I thought Nanageddon was new...it's just one I missed from the 2nd series. Oh well.

I saw The Mighty Boosh Live in Oxford last night, it was brilliant!
I got 2 shirts, a programme and a bunch of flyers (to stick on the notice-board in my room. =D).
I even saw Noel and Mike Fielding walk past me on my way to the theatre! Noel was on his phone though, and I didn't want to disturb them. They walked into a nearby coffee shop and I saw Noel come out two minutes later with a takeout-coffee, I tried to get to the back entrance of the theatre before he came out, but I was too late; I couldn't ask him for a picture! =( At the end of the show I realized I'd used all but 1 photograph in my camera, ironic ,huh?

God you're lucky!
I was gonna see it with my ma at our local theatre, but I didn't have enough money & had to miss out. Did anyone see Noel Fielding in the IT Crowd as a goth? Bleedin' heck he was just as funny as he is on The Mighty Boosh!

Just been surfing for Boosh stuff and reminded of one of my favourite bits...
From Nanageddon (again), Naboo and Saboo :
Quote:
Naboo: Yeah, you’ve read all the books, but when it comes to the crunch, where are you?
Saboo: The crunch? How dare you speak to me of the crunch! You know nothing of the crunch. You’ve never even been to the crunch.
Naboo: I’ve been there once.
Saboo: Ohhh, a little daytrip round the crunch. We can all go as tourists! “Oh, that’s a bit of crunch!”

Knew this thread had to exist somewhere... didn't want to start a new one when there was already a good little following going.
Google Video has episode 1 and 7 from the first series on it, and a load of clips.
The Techno Mouse has been sent to a selection of cybers, ravers and rivetheads.

The live show & radio versions are pretty much what the same as the tv shows but they're still pretty good. Sadly though, when I did go to the stage show, all the little bits that I thought were improvised, aren't. My friend went to another show & turns out the 'things that went wrong' all happened there too. Well except the hairdryer gun. Noel Fielding broke down on stage laughing & cried out "I've been doing this show for weeks & only tonight in Reading do I find out that this flipping hairdryer actually folds up!".
I'm a true blue Mighty Boosh fan, I'm actually sad enough to find out which pubs & clubs Julian Barrat & Noel F. were in when they came over here. But I'm under 18 so my sister said next time she'd sneak me in to meet them (or at least look at them, although someone I know met them when they were drunk & got tons of photos with them)
Oh yeah & the live DVD comes out Nov. 13
