Hellz yeah. I'm a Bodhran/tribal drum sellin' chicky so I get to go to various celtic fairs/festivals, ren faires, music festivals. etc for free when Mr. Drum-dude's wifey can't make it to help. Unloading trailers when you're laced so tight you can barely breathe is quite the talent, and one I'm proud to say I've mastered.

I'm not sure if this should be in rants or here, but due to sheer laziness I'll post here... (psst it's lengthy drivel skip it if you get bored)

I hate everyone. Not in that angsty "they all suck" kind of way, but in a "How can you stand to be you?" kind of way. Granted there are absolute exceptions, these are the people who watch life from a level higher then the little world they've created for themselves. The people who realize although love, wealth and power are great attributes to the span of conscious time we are allowed, that there is far more for us to absorb then life's ins and outs.

I hate the people who treat every folly laid before them as the tragedy beyond all tragedies which lacks an attainable solution. They're determined to spread their sad little "conundrum" amongst the masses expecting sympathy and affectionate attention, they beg the resources of him and her alike with baited drivel such as "We we're together for 6 months and he left me.. what do I do??" and like moths to flame the collective swarm with petty wild sure bet answers... but the slag knows all too well, ” Just get over it and move on."... right?

And yet... the conversation ensues turning such simple answers into lengthy, evolved yip-yap where substance is no longer a virtue. And in good humor and quiet respect I listen, seemingly at full attention but chances are the theme from 'Threes Company' occupies what ever thread may have registered the dilemma.

But, all that said... I'm not entirely ice.. I truly have sincere compassion for the sincere. Problem is... I'm guilty of abrupt and austere forms of judicial discrimination hostile to the petty and self-indulgent in the value of a superficial facade. To the beloved of the pursuit of wealth and supremacy...and to any other whom places the paltry circumstance of life above the quest to enrich and enhance ones situation through knowledge versus irresolute dependence.

I would wash you from the world if not for one thing... you provide me and all others akin to my vision with a wealth of humor unending, much thanks...

I've always wondered how that worked between states. Say a 17 year old from Texas were to come here (California) and get it on with an 18 year old, would that work as said 17 year old is legal in their state, and said 18 year old is legal here, or does one have to be of legal age for the state said action is taking place in? It's all confusing and silly and really rather idiotic anyhow, as it's something rather impossible to inforce.

And, yes. You are an "it". It is a gender neutral indicative pronoun. YOu may specifically be a "she", but you are generally an "it".

Actually, Santerea, she was copying Tenet's spelling. He misspelled it earlier in his first post (which I found surprising, as I know he's had to deal with far too many homophobes and other bigots in his life.)

Second, she wasn't using gayness as a measure of character in any way. She was comparing the similarities between two people. I think it was a poor choice and poorly worded, but not mean-spirited in intent.

And yes, sexual beliefs, practices and lifestyles can be used to describe and differentiate people. I've had several occasions on these boards where people brought up the fact that I have two girlfriends as a way of informing others a bit more about me. In some of those instances, it wasn't really relevant, but I didn't see it as a problem. If it had been that I was gay, into S&M, celibate or lusted after nuns, it wouldn't matter to me unless it was done with ill intent. And from the tone here, that clearly was not the case.

I won't argue with you on the "she" versus "it" plank, except to acknowledge that "it" is usually used around here as a disrespectful and derogatory term.

Santerea, as far as "perpetuating errors" is concerned, you'd have more credibility with me if you were equally critical of the originator of the error. I have no interest in criticizing Tenet and I don't think you want to either. I routinely overlook minor spelling errors by generally well behaved people here, and my impression is that you do too sometimes. On your other comments, I respect your opinion.

I was weepy and pre-mentstrual, and yes, I *may* have ended up sobbing, "that's not Disney!" and gesturing wildly at the screen when my somewhat alarmed sister came to see what calamity had befallen me.

I have so many weird things in my CD mixes: Neneh Cherry's Buffalo Stance, a few Britney Spears, TLC, Pink, etc. I love Christopher Cross, Cat Stevens, and Jimmy Buffet. My personal movie collection contains HK Jackie Chan films, Steven Segal, MST3K, and LEXX episodes.

I own boxes and boxes of toys. Star Trek, Star Wars, Aliens, and Terminator stuff, all still unopened. I sleep with my Bambi 'quilt' that I've had since I was about 3. The stuffing has been gone for at least 15 years.

I have done some good, old-fashioned, vamp bloodletting at least twice, with willing participants. I had a very short affair with one of my college professors.

I have an aversion to talking on the phone, even with people I am close to. Sometimes I don't answer when it rings because I feel intimidated. How is that for screwed up? ;>

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Liriel, babe, you're not alone, I do the same thing, and so does my buddy Jess. We're both so adverse to the phone that we leave notes for each other our respective deviantART accounts in order to plan get togethers.
