Hey, NS, I like two of Britney's songs too (only because they make me laugh, but still, I like them). *blushing*

And another confession: I haven't read Gaiman's "Anansi Boys" yet, even though the book is faithfully waiting for me, but I've read Laurell Hamilton's "Micah" (the latest Anita Blake book) as soon as it came out. *blushing again*

Sanctus there is much here to make one chuckle. And I like it when you are an ass ... someone may end up bleeding, but I always end up laughing!

Sobeh ... yep, I'm agreeing with Xng. You do have a way with words. You manage to make teh flameage seem ... *gasp* ... eloquent!

I confess I don't get a lot of the "so-called" goth bands. But I do like zydeco, old blues guitar masters from the Mississippi delta and african music like the kind LadySmith Black Mombazo produces. Oh, hell, if you could see my CD wall, you'd just think I can't make up my mind.

But there's no Scottish dirges, Britney Spears or country western in there. Oh crap, I forgot ... I do have a Patsy Cline CD.

*wicked grin* I like it when you like me, Ben...

Confession, I've been up for 31 hours now, I have 7 more to go... I'm rather unhappy about this.

I love music by "The Thompson Twins". It annoys me that so many of their CD's are out of print. I have "Big Trash" on CD (which is still available) and "Queer" on CD (which is not available) and "Here's To Future Days" on cassette (which I can't find on CD anywhere.) There are about 5 different greatest hits compilations that have been produced of varying quality, but the one that is available everywhere is the worst, with only 7-8 songs on it in extended length remixes.

I love "The Cure" and there's a butload of their CD's available. To me, "The Thompson Twins" sound like "The Cure" except with generally happier lyrics and without Robert Smith's angsty vocals. Listen to "Love Cats" or "Friday I'm In Love" and then compare to "Lay Your Hands On Me", "Hold Me Now" and "King For A Day". In fact, two members of the Thompson Twins live band ended up joining The Cure.

Okay, now I'm sure I've totally pissed off the Cure fans. How ungoth of me!

Ben, your post makes me sad, babe. Thompson Twins out of print?

WTF?

Well, at least you can still get them on teh intorwebz!

Jill, that's a sweet, if disturbing, sentiment.

It's hard to know that you feel soooo much for someone else and to know that they don't feel the same about you.

I confess that I'm still jealous over the fact that my MIL bought my daughter her first barbie, instead of me. But that's okay. I have a doll set aside for my daughter that I intend to make into a fairy. It might be a little after her b-day this year, but she'll have her fairy.

Wolfie. I like the fairy doll idea ... sounds much more special than any commercial Barbie.

Oh, and you'd be shocked at how few Thompson Twins songs show up on the P2P progs on teh web - I checked limewire and only about 4 or 5 hits show up over and over again. I have their last two albums; "Sugar Daddy" from BIG TRASh hit number 28 on the top 40 and "Come Inside" from QUEER reached #7 in the US Dance Charts and #1 in the UK Dance Charts. Not a single song from those albums seems to available anywhere. (Not that I recommend downloading music illegally ... I was just researching what was out there.)

It's sad to me too. You know, there's an ironic thing that happens with the internet that defies understanding. The more places that open up to store information, the more the same old information is reproduced. This means that some information just disappears forever, while some incorrect information just seems to be perpetuated everywhere. *bah*

It's not sweet; only disturbing. Even I know it.

Oh, you two! I want you to post pictures, but I suspect if you don't want to engender massive amounts of laughter, you better not do it.

Ok I like that Britney Spears song 'Slave'

I also lost my virginity the night I saw The Cherry Poppen Dadies. LOL!
I never liked them but they were at some concert along with other bands I don't even remember. But that bands name stuck in my head later that night after I lost my virginity.

And...... I'm afraid of being alone -.- Like alone at home at night or out in public like at a mall.
