Music Finally, an entire forum devoted to talking about Doktor Avalanche, the drum machine for the Sisters of Mercy. You can talk about other bands, or other members of that band, too, if you want to be UNCOOL. |

A song which i find has a particularily special place reserved in the most painful, fiery pit of hell is that song "wake me up, when september ends" by green day. But other than that, the songs i dispise are the general percentage of cover songs or remixes that are coming out these days. Also that song "buttons" by The Pussycat Dolls really pickles my gherkins.

The Numa Numa song.
Whoever made this song popular needs to be neutered.

Heh, DarkFeeling, how do you know Las Ketchup?
And, check out how different are we, SomberIllusions:
The Dope Show: I do enjoy Marilyn. This may not be a favorite of mine, but I like the video. Plus, this song was made on the times when the reverend was cool.
BYOB: I don't like them, but Iadmire the rhapsody style of the song, although it leaves me with a strange feeling that the song wasn't finished or cut up.
Wasteland: I actually like this song. 10 Years has a vocalist with smooth tunes, considering they're hard rock.
Twisted Transistor: I FUCKIN' LOVE THIS SONG!! It makes me wanna dance because it has absolutely no sense.
Papa Roach: Although the band is too popular for its own good, I like the tune of both of those songs (and there's another one I like, but I forgot its name)
HIM: Yup, I like HIM. Neither his first nor his last albums, but everything in between.
To me, the worst song ever is whatever made Green Day so famous.
P.S. You can see Greenday is followed by nothing but poseurs because no one knew of them for 14 years (That's right, 14 years!! The band was formed in 1990) until their big hit in 2004, American Idiot. Ironically the song speaks about not wanting to be controlled by the media, and they're always on MTV.

I actually liked old school Green Day. Then they were falsely characterized as "punk rock" just because they started wearing ties and dissing the media. Their fame went to their heads, fucking pansies.

Worst song ever... that's hard, there are so many god-awful ones.
One of my personal least-favourites is "Barbie Girl" by Aqua.
I also hate "Can't Get You Outta My Head" or whatever it's called by Kylie Minogue... when I hear it, I can't get it out of my head and I can just -feel- my brain liquifying.

Well, anything by Usher makes me want to bang my head against a wall, and also anything by Bowling For Soup, Pimple Clan (whoops, i mean- SIMPLE PLAN), Backstreet Boys, Nsync, and Nick Lachey.

-That Panic at the Disco song. The one always on the radio about "closing the goddamn door". ugh. The lyrics are unoriginal, the music is plain and also unoriginal, and his voice is whiny. It has no beat to it at all. Even if you liked it, you couldn't even like, snap to it. It's almost the equivalence to mainstream elevator music.
-Good Charlotte in general, but "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" takes the cake. Just reading over the lyrics makes me want to push them all off cliffs
I liked the Numa Numa song. It was incredibly catchy, and how could you NOT like anyone who does the can-can on top of airplanes on their music video? (okay, so i'm being sarcastic, but the video was all sorts of hilarious)
My Humps was also pretty bad, but parts of it made me laugh so hard. Like when she talked about her "love humps" or putting the milk into her cocoa puffs.

That is one of the best songs to do karioke too. The lyrics of it are so over the top it's hilarious.
Another song i can't stand: the one by five where they sound like they're stalking someone. My sister plays it over and over, leading to a continuous headache.

It is indeed "I'm too sexy" and was by Right Said Fred. They could do no wrong, according to my memories. Listening now, I might have to change my opinion somewhat.
One of my own least favourite songs has to be Razorblade Beat by The Manics.
I like the Manics. I think they created some of the most incredible lyrics out there, from the sad lament of From Despair To Where to the multiple-meanings of She is Suffering. Even after Richey 'went missing', Enola/Alone, My Little Empire and, ooh, about three others(They weren't that good without him) were rather excellent.
But Razorblade Beat is so panfully bad, and made much worse because they've done so much better.
Razorblades! Woo! Richey self harms!
Yes, well done.

I was having a conversation with a friend the other day about those terrible MTV friendly hair bands and their sickly love ballads, and this is the worst of them...
Extreme (an oxymoron if I read one) `More than Words`
*Shudders*

Creed comes next, that's what. Canadian? no idea. Bad enough, yes. I can't stand Christian music. Not because I'm oh-so-goth, but it sounds really forced, and even the guitars sound so righteous.
And yes, Nickleback and Avril, ick.
