Does that recipe help take away natural redness too?

My skin is just like that and I hate it. I've had it since...I was born thats what my parents tell me. I've just lately been looking for something that can take it away.

There's really nothing you can do about blushing a lot. I have the same problem, whenever I go to school for some reason I instantly blush. If it really bugs you get the Physician's Formula green powder stuff and put on a little under your foundation. It worked well for me, but I don't like wearing heavy foundation so I don't bother, I just wear a little bit of blendable stuff to tone down the redness.

Yeah, I blush a lot during the winter or when I get really hot. It doesn't really go away. I mean it comes from blood, blushing does. It's when blood goes to your face (which I am pretty sure you people already know....) so yeah, it's kind of hard to stop it from happening.

I never really thought I'd need any sort of skin lightener, but after the past few months of cross-country I've surprised myself by actually starting to get a tan. (Or, well, more of a pink I suppose if you want to get technical about it, seeing as there is no way my skin would ever be able to end up the color most people consider to be tan.) So, in an attempt to get my old skin back, I tried out the lemon juice/peroxide method. It's only been about half an hour, so I don't know how I'll look tomorrow, but I'm pretty pleased with the results I'm seeing.
It was kind of crazy at first, I was just putting the stuff on, and maybe 5 mintes later, the areas I had already covered were whiter. It shocked me, I wasn't expecting results that immediate or noticable. I let it sit for a few more minutes once I was done, then took a shower to wash off whatever was left, used some lotion (my skin was incredibly dried out at first), and voila. I'll have to do this again on my neck and shoulders to get where I really want to be, but other than that, this stuff really works.

Never in my life have my peers looked at fair skin as a positive thing. I've been teased countless times for my pale complexion, so the simple awareness that someone in the world actually regards this as a desirable trait is quite refreshing.

its almost impossible to have a lasting bleaching effect, but i use a ton of
~~Neutrogena sunscreen
~~St. Ives Apricot Scrub
~~pumice stone
~~loofah
~~1/4-1/2 cup of straight peroxide mixed with 2 alka-seltzer tablets-leave on for say...6 min. rinse off, repeat, rinse, then put on some lotion..dont ask me where i got this idea but it works quite well
~~imao lemon juice does NOTHING

As a licsenced esthetician I beg you not to put peroxide on your face... exfoliate weekly, and wear sunscreen, peroxide is very drying, and damaging, and harsh... actually basically it's bottled evil... and not the good kind, it also makes your skin very sensative to sun exposure

thank you so much this helps me to know that someone has actually tried the solution posted at gawth pallor.
i just bought the ingredients today and i just wanted to let you all know that glycerin is probably a crucial ingredient because it is a pure
skin softer that would prevent the peroxide from making your skin itchy and dry.
ive spent the past 4 days researching so i hope this helps.

I tried it this morning but in a different way.
I didn't have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide but I had a nearly full bottle of Listerine Whitening Pre-Brush Treatment. I checked the incredients and it said hydrogen peroxide! I knew it had to be agressive 'cause it would only have about 30 seconds to do it's job while it is in your mouth. Well, I stood at my bathroom sink and I spread a cap full of the stuff up and down my arms, into my hands, and between my fingers. It had the same sensation as lemon juice but it turned white and bubbled into a froth.
After about 5 minutes, I washed it all off in the bath tub with warm water, and to my delight, the skin on my hands and arms were whiter!
I grabbed a bottle of cheap hand lotion and I rubbed it in.
The mouthwash made the areas around my scrapes very red/pink.
That went away after a few minutes.

I will do it properly in a few days with real peroxide.
It was cool how it made my skin nice and smooth.
Later, put it all over my face and everything went just fine.
I am doubtful that it damages your skin, I enjoyed it.

That is all too easy for me, considering the sun is usually completely absent from were I live. It's like I have a permanent cloud over my house, so I'm very pale. In fact nearly everyone in my town is fairly pale.

Yeah, when the sun actually is out I keep my shades close at hand. Especially around this time of the year, because when the sun comes out it reflects off the snow, which causes my cornea to practically burn.

Yeah! me too! Even though the shades, it's harsh.
Don't know, but I guess it has to do with the fact that I tend to stay indoors.
