I think that After Midnight Project could use some more love. They sound so beautiful. I love them.

Why? Don't they already have scads and scads of people that love them? I thought this thread was started about "bands out there with great talent but no real fanbase." And Green Day doesn't actually fit either requirement. They have neither great talent nor a nonexistant fanbase.

Hang on, mayhaps I'm getting my threads mixed up. Let me go back and check what was originally said...

Ah, I see you looked up Qntal.
There's another band to mantion on this thread.
Qualmando Qual.
I saw they were on a photo session by Viona Art, but I have never heard them.
Despite knowing wether they have talent (which I think they do. I mean; they were on a photo session by Viona!!) it seems they don't have much of a fan base, as I have never found anything about them, not even online.
Anyone know them?

Sssh.
I'll let you in on a little secret. Us in the open source community, like everything else, have had it for years.
Graveworm could use some more love.
So could Seventh. http://www.mp3.com.au/artist.asp?id=179

I'd already liked Qntal for about a month before you mentioned them. The singer has an amazing voice though it might have been digitally altered a bit.
I barely know anything about Qualmando Qual apart from the fact they're a J-rock band. That reminds me.......has vionaart updated lately? I've haven't been on there for a while.

I haven't seen any new things in quite a while, actually.
Oh, I just remembered an awesome group whose talent is worth its percussion beats in gold:
The Blue Man Group!!!!

Virgin Black don't get attention, but they should. As should Abney Park. Abney Park are great.

Yep, Abney Park definitely need more love. As do Teräsbetoni (in English their name is Reinforced Concrete). Just listen to the singing...you know you love them.

Well because of the recomendations I checked out Virgin Black. I heard 'Our Wings Are Burining' & it was pretty damn good. The only problem is that I can't access their webpage. But I will look out for them!

Well I saw them supporting Wednesday 13 recently, and I remember the lyrics in one of their songs related to me quite a bit and they werent too bad live either so I thought I'd put them up there cause they're not very well known and I quite liked one of their songs.

The Dresden Dolls are awesome! I watched some of their videos/live tapings on youtube. Do they ever tour in the South? I'd love to see them.

Another Betty Curse debate? Ooh I'm with Jillian on this one. The whole idea of Betty Curse is manufactured nonsense, her image & noise is designed to appeal to pre teens who want something alternative, but don't want to scare their parents with their hardcore goffness. She doesn't deserve any recognition because everything about her has been designed just to make money from the market just mentioned (her name isn't even her own). Her lyrics are typical angsty teenage bullshit. Similar to that of Miss Avril Lavinge. I can't seriously believe anyone would want to waste 10 quid on a CD of her music.
For anyone who wants to know whats to know what the pop music industry is trying to do, to get money from angst ridden mini goffs here's a link with an amusing interview with 'Betty' herself...(or maybe what she's being paid to say)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/totp/news/inter...22/35857.shtml
& for anyone thinking of sacrificing hard earned money on her album. Go listen to Siouxsie & The Banshees.
*sigh* I get too annoyed.

She's kind of attractive, though... Like, I wouldn't listen to her shit, but I'd probably have a sordid affair with her.

She is pretty 'n' all, plus I do like a few of her clothes (she does have a few similar pieces to my fancy clothes). But I just can't stand the music or anything she says.
