The Pussycat Dolls?!
But... but... How am I supposed to be a stuck up snob when I shake my ass without them?!

Shakira was good before she started singing in English. John Meyer (Mayer?) is decent, but his songs all sound pretty much the same. Pretty, but the same.
I like some rap, anyway. Tech N9ne, for some strange reason, has pretty much taken over my school-- almost everyone, regardless of their musical preferences, loves his music-- including me. He's not signed to a major label (in fact, I believe that he runs his own label), but still manages to sell out huge shows.

Personally I like Guns N' Roses. Good Charlotte is okay...they dont bother me, but its not my taste. I do like Slipknot to some extent. ICP, Ugh, I despise that name. They suck, there crap. And rap, I despise rap too.
Thats basically my opinion.

GNR gets my vote, since I don't hear Good Charlotte or Creed on any of the radio stations I listen to.

I just thought Panic at the Disco were another soft rock act. Since reading the cover article of the latest Rolling Stone though, now I actually HATE them. Now even THEM, who sound absolutely NOTHING like anything goth has EVER had to do with, are trying to jump on the male-eyeliner-luvvy-mope-mope-poseur bandwagon that every other plastic corporate artfuck has. Johnny Depp is goth? *vomit* Oh, and thanks for not giving hardly ANY credit to David Bowie. Shows how much you know about this culture that you never have and never will belong to.

Yeah, they do. Steal the latest issue of Rolling Stone and... You know what? I'll link it here. http://www.rollingstone.com/news/cov...school_musical
They're another corporate plastic poseur artfuck.

Well, "the posing, the clothes and the eyeliner" totally sums up all that they're about.

The above musicians didn't sell millions because they "sucked."

They sold millions because they knew how to market and write catchy music. They still suck, which is an opinion.

It just goes to show that no matter what we like, no matter what we hate, we are all humans, exactly the same and ready and willing to pick apart that which we do not understand. *shrugs*

ICP is worthless. And Clay Aiken is...scary. He's just really creepy with that closed eye "thank you" thing.

Wow, I found a very deep paragraph in this thread by Dis:
everyone is an "individual" a little, unique snowflake, but we're all unique, little snowflakes, trying to be unique, little snowflakes, and in the process of striving to be a unique, little snowflake, we melt into a puddle of other formerly unique, little snowflakes who have unwittingly stumbled into the particularly unfortunate situation of not being unique at all.
I'm gonna have to memorize that quote, with the proper authorship, of course.

You're right, rap isn't music. Hip Hop is though.
